Why Locals Love Spring At Seabrook

Spring has arrived on the Washington coast! As vibrant shades of the native greenery thrive and warmer temperatures beckon, it’s the perfect time to head to the beach! Take in the scenery and experience everything locals love about Seabrook this time of year. Now is the time to beat the summer rush and explore some new town additions, beautiful beaches and the growing trail network at your leisure, like a local.

The Fun Of Summer Activities With Springtime Crowds

Retreat from the hustle and bustle this spring to Seabrook where it’s an ideal time to take a break and refresh before the arrival of summer and the busy schedules that come with it. With fewer people out and about this time of year, locals find that it’s a great time to openly explore the beach, go shopping, dine out or go on the leisurely Seabrook Spring Food Tour, and more, with less possibility of long waits or lines.

Local and Seabrook Human Resources Manager, Jesse S., shares what he loves about the springtime experience on the coast.

“Yesterday I walked along Elk Creek with my youngest son, Max,” says Jesse. “As we were walking he said, ‘Dad, look at that! The mom and dad eagle are showing their son how to fly!’ I looked up and sure enough, there was a young bald eagle still with his dark feathers drifting on the ocean breeze… and just like Max said… there were two adult eagles flying so close together that their wing tips almost touched, but they were maybe 20-30 feet behind the young eagle. ‘How amazing is that dad?!’ says Max. My thought: All kids learn to fly in Seabrook, even young eagles. Spring is when it happens.”

It’s A Beautiful Time Of Year For Day-Trips

Staying in Seabrook means having all sorts of onsite amenities, from shops and restaurants to an indoor pool and gym and countless outdoor activities all steps away from your home. Not to be overlooked is the central location of Seabrook that makes a day-tripping to iconic coastal sights easily attainable. From spending the day driving north into the gorgeous destinations such as Ruby Beach or the Hoh Rainforest, the cruisy drives are a great way to spend a day.

“While I am not a weather professional, I am a seasoned Seabrooker,” says Emily P., the Seabrook Hospitality Business Manager. “Great spring family activities include bike riding, antler shed hunting in Ocean Shores and Quinault, and going to Lake Wynoochee.”

Go From Remote Work To Beach Town Play In Seconds

There’s nothing better than wrapping up a day of remote work and being exactly where you want to be: on vacation for the rest of the day or heading into a carefree weekend. All rental homes are equipped with WiFi, which makes working at the beach a great option. Many full-time Seabrook residents are remote workers that live the best of beach town life during spring. Midweek stays are especially relaxing and you’ll feel like you have the town to yourself for all of your favorite Seabrook activities where you can enjoy all of the vibrant plant life along the way.

“My favorite thing about spring in Seabrook is seeing all of the native plants and flowers coming to life and adding pops of color throughout all of the community areas and neighborhoods,” says Belinda R., Seabrook Real Estate’s Listing Agent. “I also enjoy when the ocean has a more ‘moody’ look to it when it rains.”

It’s A Dog-Friendly Paradise

Your four-legged family members are sure to love a getaway to Seabrook as much as you do! Rain or shine, bringing your pup along for your coastal getaway is a great way to encourage exercise and outdoor adventures. There’s no shortage of great places to go exploring with your dogs! From walks around town, to the beach, through the trails, and playtime at the fenced-in dog park, it truly is a haven for dogs and their dog lovers in Seabrook.

“The days are longer so I am guaranteed lots of play time with my dog at the park once I get off work,” says Emily.

If It’s Raining, Take The Breather And Truly Relax

Don’t let the rainy days of spring dampen your spirits! There is something magical about rainy days on the coast that bring feelings of calm and rejuvenation to any visit. Beach like a local and make the most of the weather pattern, whatever it may be, during your time in Seabrook. Some favorite rainy-day indoor activities include stopping in for a hot coffee or pastry from Vista Bakeshop, a warm meal from local restaurants, a trip to the bookstore for a new book or puzzle, toys or games from Brooklets Toys, a new, cozy sweater from Magnolias, or a glass of wine from The Stowaway. At home, listen to the soothing sound of the rain and ocean from a hot tub, sitting by a fireplace, or cozied up on a covered deck with a warm beverage and blanket.

“Spring in Seabrook is amazing because the weather is never boring,” says Dawn M., Seabrook homeowner. “You can see it all in one day. When it is sunny, you stay outside until it is not.”

Vacation Rentals That Have Just What You Need

Pick the vacation rental with features and amenities that make your vacation exactly what you need for a springtime refresh! Whether it’s a quiet cabin, dog-friendly home, spacious home with a view, or a home with a private hot tub, you’ll find it in Seabrook Hospitality’s vacation rental program.

Whether it’s a midweek stay or a long weekend, now is the time to take advantage of spring booking rates for a budget-friendly getaway while still getting the most out of your time on the coast.

Seabrook Road Trip Essentials

When it’s time to hit the road and head for the salty ocean air, the scenic drive to Seabrook will feel like it has taken no time at all with our Seabrook road trip essentials! Take a look at the must-haves and must-dos we’ve put together from Seabrook’s homeowners, concierge, team members, and guests!

Picking The Perfect Beachtime Audio

Once everyone is in the car, set the mood with a fun and lively playlist or your favorite podcasts to pass the time in no time! Here are just some of the songs we recommend when you’re on the road to the coast. For the full playlist, check out our Road Trip playlist on Spotify.

  • I Wish by Stevie Wonder
  • Don’t Go Breaking My Heart by Elton John and Kiki Dee
  • Island In The Sun by Weezer
  • Everything by Michael Bublé
  • Wouldn’t It Be Nice by The Beach Boys

For those with young children, Meredith M., a homeowner, recommends picking up a Toniebox for a screen-free experience that keeps the little ones engaged with stories and songs.

“We love our Toniebox (also great with headphones) for hours of screen-free entertainment on the road,” Meredith says. “Some of our favorites include the National Geographic tonies. You can try out the Toniebox next time you visit Brooklets Toys!”

Other homeowners recommend downloading your preferred music since cell coverage may go down at some points along the drive to Seabrook. Another fun option recommended by Sharyn M., a homeowner, is tuning into the local Grays Harbor radio.

“We always tune in to Sunny 102.1 when we get to Aberdeen,” Sharyn says. “All the songs are familiar to someone and we sing along.”

Plan A Stop For Snacks Or A Tasty Meal

The best part about a vacation is the freedom to meander and shop at your leisure as you head toward your destination. No matter which direction you’re coming from to Seabrook, there are plenty of great pit stops to make along the way to make the most of your drive.

“Trader Joe’s in Olympia is our go-to for each trip,” says Rhonda S., homeowner. “Then I drag Bill [her husband] kicking and screaming to Home Goods for things we don’t need, turn on Sirius XM sports to soothe his nerves, then a stop at Humdinger’s for a burger, fries with fry sauce, and a peanut butter/vanilla milkshake.”

After Rhonda and Bill stop at Humdinger, they have a fun game to play as they hit the home stretch for the beach!

“Before we make a left on Ocean Beach Road, we each choose a number of how many cars will pass us going south on Ocean Beach Road,” Rhonda says. “The person closest to the number of cars wins…the loser has to bring everything into the house by themselves.”

If you want to make it a straight shot for the beach, the Fresh Foods Popup has all of the snacks and fixing for a great getaway menu, from fresh produce to prepared foods and an assortment of beverages.

Seabrookers Restaurant Recommendations On The Way

Time Your Arrival Just Right

Seabrook fans time their arrival in a few ways, all with the goal of avoiding the heavy traffic in the metropolitan areas.

For those with young children, Seabrookers recommend waiting out the Friday evening traffic.

“Driving without kids is essentially the best,” jokes Thanh T., homeowner. “But, if you must, it is better to feed kids dinner on Fridays and wait until after traffic. The drive is much faster if you don’t have to stop. For some reason all the fast food drive-throughs have super long waits!”

Another great way to beat the traffic is to spend a long weekend and plan an arrival in Seabrook on a Thursday instead of a Friday and make sure to use the new carpool lanes through Tacoma.

Play Road Trip Games

Road trip games are fun for all party sizes and pass the time quickly. Seabrook’s concierge team has assembled this “Are We There Yet?” questionnaire that you and your whole family can enjoy answering during your drive to the beach.

Tips & Tricks For Planning A Long Weekend At The Beach

Dreaming about your next coastal getaway? From dreaming about the soothing sound of the ocean waves to pulling up to your vacation rental, make every step of planning a seamless experience when you come to Seabrook. Take a look at the insider tips and tricks from our reservations team for planning a long weekend in Washington’s Beach Town.

Pack Less, Relax More

You can pack light when you stay in one of Seabrook’s vacation rental homes! Take the stress out of packing in everything from bedding to cookware during your stay.

For The Moms Planning Ahead

“I always remind people that the kitchens are fully stocked for their stay,” says Joy, Seabrook Hospitality Reservation Specialist. “So when a mom calls in and asks about planning, I can let her know she doesn’t have to worry about bringing pots or pans or dishes and it’s always reassuring to hear.”

Homes have all the appliances you need to make a stay carefree and comfortable and reservation specialists are available seven days a week if you have any questions or would like to inquire about specific items in the home.

All homes also have bedding, towels, and a starter amount of soap, shampoo, conditioner, and laundry detergent. Many homes also come equipped with games and entertainment systems, too, that frees up packing space even more.

When it comes to bringing little ones along, packing can seem endless. At Seabrook, you can pack a little less with toddler-friendly items available to rent for your stay.

“I always let families know that we have high chairs, baby gates, and cribs on site and they don’t have to worry about packing that in,” says Katie, Seabrook Hospitality Group Liaison. “We can have it at the home and have it ready before they arrive.”

A big, time-consuming task surrounding any extended vacation is planning meals, but it doesn’t have to be when you head to your vacation home.

“People are always happy to hear that we basically provide everything but the food for their stay,” Katie says. “But we can provide that now, too!”

For Those That Don’t Want To Lift A Finger

Seabrook Hospitality’s Concierge Services offers personalized grocery delivery, simply get in touch with the concierge team and arrive stress-free knowing that your groceries are waiting in the home for you. And if you happen to have any last-minute cravings or items you forgot, the Fresh Foods Popup on Front Street has you covered for most items.

Pick The Perfect House & Know You’re Covered

Seabrook Hospitality’s wide variety of vacation rental home options makes it the ideal destination for parties of all sizes, from solo vacationers to large groups. Homes of all sizes can be found all throughout town, it’s a matter of picking the perfect house near the amenities visitors are interested in the most.

For Those Who Want The Large Get Togethers To Feel Closer Than Ever

For large groups, get the most out of a stay by sorting by home amenities that encourage togetherness.

“I always tell guests about places that have fireplaces or fire pits first,” says Kent, Seabrook Hospitality Reservation Specialist. “So there is always something to do and something that brings people together.”

Make the most out of the wide variety of floor plans available in Seabrook vacation rentals, too, that provide everything from extra media space for kids to open concept homes.

“I recommend open house concepts for families a lot, so that people can always be together and gather more easily,” says Jennifer, Seabrook Hospitality Reservation Specialist.

Seabrook Hospitality’s rental program is unique in that there are onsite services in housekeeping and maintenance provided, along with a safety team.

For Those Looking For Something Beyond The Typical Airbnb

“For people who are coming in and don’t know Seabrook and only know Airbnb or VRBO, I let them know we have all day maintenance and housekeeping on site,” Jennifer says. “If something goes wrong or something is missing from the home, all they have to do is call.”

Tips & Tricks For Around Town

For Those Who Want A Vacation From Their Car

A lot of people coming into Seabrook for the first time may not know how truly walkable the town is, making it easier to park the car for the weekend and then have a brief walk or bike ride to all of the town’s amenities and attractions. If guests come in knowing beforehand how easy it is to walk around to everything, it often means packing less.

“It’s so safe for people to be out walking,” Jennifer says. “It’s perfect for families.”

“Teenagers, especially, love the freedom of being able to walk around and get coffee or go shopping,” adds Katie.

For The Resort Adventurers

Seabrook’s parks and outdoor games are also widely popular and first time visitors don’t often know that there are pickleball courts, a playground, a fenced in dog park, and resources like The Dugout for them to check out complimentary game equipment.

“I like to let people know that we have all of the games in The Dugout,” Joy says. “They can save a lot of space when they know they don’t have to bring everything for activities.”

Another tip from the reservations team is coming prepared for all kinds of weather! No matter the time of year, it’s always a good idea to bring layers of clothing and to be ready for the chance of rain.

Whether your crew wants to plan activities to do together or solo, coming to Seabrook means that there’s something for everyone to enjoy so there’s no need to stress over how everyone is going to be entertained.

“There’s everything from mountain biking to sipping on wine,” says Angela, Call Center & Revenue Manager. “They can go their separate ways and then join up later and everyone’s happy and getting the most out of their vacation and time together.”

For Those Who Take Unwinding Seriously

Something else to consider to make the most out of a stay is reserving some activities in advance, such as spa treatments at Spa Elizabeth, custom candle making at Lorraine’s Candle Studio, or water sports lessons for skimboarding or surfing at Buck’s Northwest (permanently closed).

Something that not all guests may realize is that staying midweek can make for some of the most relaxing stays! Come stay midweek for a more leisurely feel to the town and also take advantage of the lower midweek rates.

What To Do If You Arrive Early

For Those Who Want To Start Their Vacation Early

If you happen to arrive early or even plan to arrive early to your check-in day at Seabrook, there is plenty to see and do before checking in to your vacation rental.

“There’s the beach,” says Kent, noting that it’s a great place to get fresh air and stretch after being in the car. “There’s also places like Koko’s where you can go try an awesome margarita. There are lots of things to do if you arrive early.”

For little ones, a stop at Brooklets Toys or The Sweet Life for some candy or ice cream is sure to bring a twinkle into their eyes as they settle into arriving for vacation. For adults, browsing the shops or stopping in at one of the restaurants for a drink or meal is a relaxing way to spend some time before check in.

2023 Home Décor Trends We’re Excited About

Whether your home is in need of a light refresh or a whole interior makeover, Seabrook’s Real Estate Team has brought together the best interior design predictions for 2023! We’re excited to share our finds for inspiration and to see them come to life in Seabrook homes in the coming year.

Say “Hello” To Showing More Personality

Designers have welcomed the shift in décor trends that showcase more individuality throughout the home. Moody color palettes combined with the addition of more textures in everything from flooring to accent pieces offer a chic, inviting atmosphere that brings a modern twist to a classic, comfortable feel.

From bold throw pillows to textured wooden fixtures (we’re partial to those here at the beach with the abundance of local driftwood art), embracing pieces that make a space your own not only feels good but creates a space your friends and family are sure to love, too.

Feel The Freedom Of Functional Spaces

It’s not quite minimalism, but experts are seeing a big trend towards functional spaces that discourage clutter and encourage connectivity between rooms. We love this trend because it makes spaces more family-friendly and it makes it easier to entertain and ultimately, unwind.

The best way to jump on board this trend is to really think about the best ways to utilize the space within individual rooms. Furniture that is multi-use goes a long way, along with vertical storage and being mindful of items that might cause clutter.

Boost Your Wellness With Décor

Wellness décor is on the rise and we couldn’t be happier about embracing this in the beach homes. Some of the best ways to bring this wonderful trend into your home is to let in as much natural light as possible, purchase upcycled or natural décor, and have plenty of greenery within your home.

Consider the mood you want to create in each room of your home as a basis for your wellness décor. From sound-reducing décor items, to items that make you feel a sense of calm and comfort, there are endless ways to get the most out of this trend and feel your best while you do it.

Pick Up A New Statement Piece

One of the most fun trends picking up in popularity is the addition of statement pieces throughout the home. Vintage and antique pieces are becoming center draws for rooms, as well as bold rugs that bring vibrancy and character to a room.

Whether it’s a painting, light fixture, art piece, or attention-grabbing furniture, this trend is another way to let your personality shine within your home.

8 Years And A Million Memories — Thank You Front Street Market

From the first day the Front Street Market opened its doors on August 11, 2014, they’ve been serving up delicious eats and providing homeowners, guests, and locals with staple items that make any day on the beautiful Washington coast that much more special!

On January 2, 2023, the Front Street Market, owned and operated by Steve and Lisa McElliott, is serving their popular menu items for the last time on Front Street. The Seabrook and surrounding communities are going to miss stopping into the quaint shop for the best fresh and flavorful deli-made sandwiches, salads, coffee, souvenirs, and curated product selection.

A Word From Steve & Lisa, The Owners Of Front Street Market

Steve and I absolutely enjoyed the early years of the market when we had the Saturday night ice cream sandwich socials. The lines out the door were something!

We also loved making all those TO GO meals for the North Beach community during Covid and also donating to local food banks and the Green Lantern Lunches program over the years. Pouring all that extra love into the people that needed it was such a fulfilling moment for both of us.

Without our employees we would have not been able to do ANY of this. Every single employee that we hired was an asset to the Front Street Market team and we appreciate them all so very much, including our three kids that put in endless hours helping us when we needed it the most! We have absolutely loved watching all of your kids grow up through our years owning the store and thank everyone so much that supported us in this great adventure called Front Street Market.

Please look for us in Pacific Beach this spring when we open a new place to have coffee and lunch. It’s called Joe Creek Coffee Company.

Lots of love and happiest holidays from all of us!

The McElliotts — Steve, Lisa, Ryan, Finn and Reagan

Seabrook would like to thank the McElliott family for bringing so many smiles and memories to its shoppers throughout the years. From novelty items during the holidays to fresh flowers in the summer, the care and thoughtfulness that went into making shopping at the market a great experience will always be a part of the Seabrook story.

We look forward to seeing the McElliotts around town in SeaWorthy Home that they own and also in their new venture right down the road in Pacific Beach that’s set to open this spring.

Stop in between now and the end of the month to enjoy your Front Street Market favorites!

Stay tuned for more information on the expanded grocery store on Market Street opening in late spring 2023.

Try Local Seafood Dishes

Warm up this winter with seafood dishes from Seabrook’s restaurants! From clam chowder to wild-caught fish, make it a getaway to remember — maybe you’ll even find your next “go-to” seafood dish.

First up are the seafood eats at Rising Tide And Tavern! Nothing hits the spot quite like razor clam chowder that’s served with a sourdough roll from Vista Bakeshop! Or try the fresh catch from Quinault Pride, the fish and chips, or the fishwich.

For spice and abundant flavor, head to Koko’s Restaurant & Tequila Bar! From the ahi tuna tostadas to the shrimp ceviche, tamarind-habañero prawn, or Mexican poke bowl, you’ll find something unique and delicous.

Frontager’s Pizza Co. has your seafood craving covered with their appetizers! Try the fried calamari, hot lobster dip, panko breaded prawns, and seafood chowder!

Once you’ve had your fill of seafood, plenty of other tasty items are on the menu at Seabrook’s restaurants!

Seabrook Dreamers: A Letter From Casey Roloff

Yes — 2023 is a game changer. Here at Seabrook, we always hear our neighbors and buyers joke that they wish they didn’t have to leave. Our team has spent the last several years working to make living here on a full-time basis easier than ever. Now it’s coming to life. Take a look at what Casey Roloff, Town Co-founder and CEO, has to share on all the exciting updates coming to Seabrook.

When Laura and I were finishing college, we couldn’t wait to leave the city and to hear the roar of the ocean and smell the salty air every day. While so many people were only able to visit the beach a couple times a year, we wanted to make the ocean and sandy beaches our home. That was 28 years ago and the call of the ocean has only become stronger for us–we are not sure what life would be like otherwise.

While we were living our dream, we, along with our incredible team, have been making it possible for many others to live their dream by the ocean with our new town of Seabrook. While some believe Seabrook is only a vacation town, that is not how we have been approaching it. When we say we are building a town, we really mean it! A place where you can live in a dynamic environment and also have the urban comforts within walking distance.

About 15% of Seabrook’s population are full-time owners who are truly pioneers! Before a lot of our basic needs were fulfilled, they made Seabrook their home and filled the gaps creatively.

However, in 2023 the dream of living in Seabrook gets a whole lot easier with so many of our efforts coming to fruition. Here is what makes Seabrook more livable than ever:

  • Connectivity – To allow reliable remote work, we are committed to working with our local providers, both high-speed wireless internet service and fiber optics, in our Fernwood Neighborhood. In the near future our local cable company is planning to bring fiber to the entire town. Note: Fiber Optics is already in Seabrook, but looking to distribute that town-wide through existing conduits.
  • Seabrook Shuttle – Our new 15-passenger Mercedes Sprinter Van will allow anyone needing to be in the office a couple days a week convenient access to Seattle.
  • North Beach Montessori School – We are excited to soon open the pre-registration for fall of 2023-2024 school year.
  • Urgent Care/Wellness Clinic – This has been fully funded and construction starts in 2023 and is expected to be completed by year’s end.
  • New Fitness Center –Fully equipped gym facility, 25-yard lap pool, large hot tub in the South Farm neighborhood.
  • Trails, trails and more trails – We continue to expand our incredible network of trails through our coastal forest with over 50% of our land in open space and an additional 600 acres of public land adjacent to Seabrook. We currently have over 24 miles of walking and biking trails and we are eager to add more each year.
  • Grocery Store – A 13,000 square foot gourmet grocery (about the size of a Trader Joe’s) with fresh produce, butcher, deli, and all the comforts of your favorite local store.
  • Vista Bakery Expansion – Vista Bakeshop’s expansion is currently under construction, hosted in the space next to the original bakeshop. The expansion is projected to be complete in late January. They are thrilled to bring a bread program to Seabrook along with cafe favorites like sandwiches and more.
  • Frontager’s Pizza Co. Expansion – Frontager’s Pizza has just completed the expansion of Frontager’s Social with new menu items and a relaxed atmosphere in the new space.
  • Blue – The new salad and juice bar makes it easy to eat healthy at the beach and 2023 will be its first summer open.
  • Barber Shop – An old-fashioned barbershop with a speakeasy feel is coming to town.
  • Arcade – A retro-style arcade with a focus on all the favorite games of the 80’s is set to open in summer 2023 on Front Street.

If you are a dreamer and attracted to Seabrook’s laid back coastal lifestyle, the timing has never been better to make the move and be a Seabrook Local.

The market is open daily from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM and can be reached at (360)-276-6842.

Welcoming Fresh Foods To The Seabrook Community

“Fresh Foods is more than a full-service grocery store — we’re focused on bringing the communities we serve the very best organic, natural, and environmentally-friendly products that taste good and do good. If you’re looking for fresh local produce, road trip snacks, that special ingredient, or anything in between, you’ll find it on our shelves. Or just ask us – we’re the team you can trust. Happy Thanksgiving!

The holidays are a special time in Seabrook, and we love celebrating them with you and your crew. This year we asked some of the team members and homeowners what they are grateful for! Holidays In Seabrook: What To Expect

Holidays at the beach! What could be better than that? We sure do love the holidays here in Seabrook. Spending time with your crew, watching movies, and making food is really what it’s all about. We make staying in Seabrook during the holidays an immersive experience. Step right out your door and you are transported into a winter wonderland, or better yet, a Washington coast wonderland.

Jolly Days

Around here we like to call all of our celebrations Jolly Days! This is a month-long event where we have different activities and experiences every Saturday through December 17th leading up to Christmas. To kick it off we start with one of our oldest Seabrook traditions which is the tree lighting!

Holiday Tree Lighting

Head over to Meriweather Square where you will see our tall tree that stands year-round. This tree is a symbol and dedication to town co-founder Casey Roloff’s father Larry Roloff, therefore earning the name “Dad’s Christmas Tree”. In 2006, the Seabrook team dedicated this tree to the Roloff family as a symbol of all that they had accomplished and as a thank-you for building this amazing community.

Next to the tree is a plaque that explains that Casey always wanted a place to raise his family where they could spend special times together.

This tree symbolizes his accomplishment of that and how proud the Seabrook team is and his father would be! We are also so grateful and proud of the Roloff family and all that they have done in creating and growing our magical and special town.

The tree lighting takes place on November 25th at 6:00 PM where local singer Ben Fagerstedt will perform and lead the town in carols!

Shop For The Holidays During Small Business Saturdays

From 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM, support local businesses while also finding the perfect holiday gifts for the whole family! From toys, apparel, sweets, wine, home decor, Seabrook swag, and much more, your festive holiday shopping experience is waiting in Washington’s Beach Town.

Snow At The Beach?

Want snow at the beach? Yes, that’s right we have snow here at the beach at 5:00 PM on November 26th, December 3rd, and December 10th. The last snow drop on December 17th is at 6:00 PM during the holiday parade. Walk through Market Street and the town center where everything will be lit up and covered with snow from our snow drop. Bring your kids and friends to experience the nostalgic feeling of a true Christmas just like the old days.

Holiday Parade Through Town

Here in Seabrook, we love to host parades to commemorate the holidays! We recently had our Halloween parade where we were able to see every costume you can imagine! For the holidays, our parade will begin at 6:00 on December 17th where there will be decorated floats, festive music, and everything to make the Town Center a magical place.

The Belfry Holiday Market

Looking for a place to get your crew meaningful gifts? This year The Belfry is hosting Saturday Holiday Markets starting November 26th through December 17th from 11:00 AM-5:00 PM. These markets will be much like our Saturday Markets during the summer. Local vendors and small businesses will be there with a variety of items. In addition to the markets, there will also be the option to take photos with Santa! These photos with Santa are not just a picture, but instead an immersive experience for your kids! They will have the opportunity to chat with Santa and create a memory to last a lifetime. The Belfry is also helping to make your holiday experience even more memorable by offering horse and carriage rides around town!

Winter Glass Float Find

The Winter Glass Float Find tradition is back and is as exciting as ever! Beginning on November 24th and going through January 1st, enjoy exploring the outdoors and beautiful town. Floats are hidden around Seabrook daily with clues to their location posted outside of the Guest Services Lobby at 301 Front Street and also on our social media stories. If you find one of the beautifully crafted and colorful floats, it’s yours to keep!

Stay With Us At The Beach!

Each year we try to create an even more memorable and amazing experience than the year before. We really believe that staying in Seabrook during the holidays is the only way to truly experience all the beauty of our beach town! We are so excited for Jolly Days this year and can’t wait to see you all at the beach!

Seabrook Is Changing The Game For Thanksgiving

Do you love the holidays but dread the inevitable cleanup and hassle? We feel you. Here at Seabrook, we are big advocates of relaxing getaways. Seabrook Hospitality Brings Convenience To You

Seabrook is located about 45 minutes away from the nearest large-scale grocery store, and therefore we are truly tucked away out here on the coast. It can be trickier to ‘do’ Thanksgiving without the convenience of a full grocery store down the road. We are excited to share some of the best and most convenient ways you can do holidays at the beach, continuing your relaxing getaways throughout any season.

Did you know this service is not just offered for the holidays but is actually a service we offer year-round? We just know it’s not fun to worry about shopping when you would much rather be spending your time with loved ones and making memories and we want to help you to do that during your stay.

With this unique service, your vacation can start right away! We highly recommend using this complimentary service before your Thanksgiving stay. Skip the lines and craziness of the grocery stores and just put together what you need. We will get it to you!

Thanksgiving Dinner Made Easy By Rising Tide Tavern

Another unique service we offer is catered Thanksgiving dinners! Thanks to Rising Tide Tavern right here in town you can enjoy a gourmet Thanksgiving dinner. Just one more way to take the stress of Thanksgiving off your plate. With a purchase of a meal, it will be hand delivered to your house the day before Thanksgiving. This gives you everything from a turkey to homemade rolls from Vista Bakeshop. Truly experience Seabrook dining from the comfort of your home all while watching football and hanging with your crew.

Don’t forget to place your order by noon on November 17th.

Seabrook Hosts National Town Builders Association Roundtable

Last week, Seabrook had the opportunity to host the National Town Builders Association (NTBA) Fall Roundtable right here in town! Seabrook’s co-founder and CEO, Casey Roloff, is a proud member of the NTBA, and was honored to host one of this year’s meetings.

What Is The NTBA?

The National Town Builders Association is a group of individuals dedicated to serving builders and developers. They strive to help them build the best towns, traditional neighborhoods, and town centers. The organization is currently headed up by Lou Marquet.

Twice a year the NTBA meets for a member roundtable event with the purpose to help foster peer-to-peer communication and learning opportunities. With the most recent being here in Seabrook, the focus was to highlight the process of Seabrook’s town planning, foundational concepts of Seabrook’s unique layout, and to help other town builders understand and learn from Seabrook’s triumphs and also mistakes.

With multiple sessions each day, members heard from key players within Seabrook’s design and build team. The Town Co-founder, Casey Roloff presented alongside his team. The Director of Town Planning & Design, Stephen Poulakos, presented the unique tools and architectural touches that Seabrook used to streamline and amplify its growth. Chief Financial Officer, Jeff Gundersen, presented on the financial choices the town had to make in order to succeed as a business while also creating a community. The Principal Town Planner, Laurence Qamar, revisited what Seabrook has learned from its inspiration, Seaside, Florida.

Each of the sessions was unique, insightful, and motivating as members learned about how Seabrook came to be, as well as what the future looks like for our town.

The NTBA Experiences Our Local Culture

Part of hosting the conference, Seabrook wanted to also create several social and cultural opportunities for the NTBA members to take part in. One of these events was a traditional salmon bake hosted by a group from the Quinault Indian Nation. Seabrook is proud to have the Quinault Nation as neighbors and have cherished their relationship together for the past 20 years. It was captivating to see people from all over the country experience something so unique and special to coastal Washington.

Many of the attendees sat and watched as the salmon was baked on wooden planks, taking a pause from the conversation of town building to observe this special cultural experience. It was an honor to come together with the Quinault Nation to celebrate their traditions while connecting with each other around a dinner that has rich historical meaning to our region.

In addition to the delicious salmon, there was also food and beverages provided by The Belfry. Melanie Catanzaro, The Belfry’s general manager and Seabrook homeowner, did a wonderful job creating a beautiful spread in Crescent Park’s event tent.

Taking A Piece of Seabrook With You

The weekend created time for a lot of reflecting and reminiscing on Seabrook’s history while building excitement for what the future will hold. The town’s leadership team enjoyed sharing the story with so many new and familiar faces.

The Fall Roundtable not only helped foster ideas and create opportunities for big thinking but also helped create lasting friendships. For more information on the story behind Seabrook, learn more about how our town became what it is today.

Home Decor Trends: Fall 2022

Decorating for fall can be difficult. Finding that balance between tasteful and festive is more work than we want. It feels like you either have to shop in the Halloween section at Target or DIY your way through the season. While neither of these options is bad, we know that as tasteful homemakers, you want unique and lasting decor options.

We have taken the time to research trends for this fall season and talked with Lisa McElliott, owner of SeaWorthy Home in Seabrook, about how you can elevate your decor this season.

Style With A Purpose

It can be easy to gravitate toward cheap holiday decor when consumer culture has made it easy to find what we want at a low price. However, with this comes a downgrade in quality, fast-moving trends, and a compromise in sustainability. We are all about sustainability here in Seabrook, and we want to promote trends that can be reused and recycled.

Take the time to find a style that you enjoy. Investing in simple and quality pieces makes it easy to add on year to year. Many style types can be of help in finding pieces for your home. Here are a few styles that can guide you as you jump into decorating this season.

Wabi Sabi

This is a Japanese style of decor that focuses on finding beauty in imperfection. Now, this can be taken a number of ways, but the way we like to think of it is finding organic and imperfect items to use as decor. We have such a unique opportunity to find items such as driftwood and other natural resources that can be used as decor.

Another part of this concept is admiring the wear and tear of your items. If we are mindful that the items we buy are going to be used and used well, then we can appreciate their imperfections and the beauty of them being used. This style is easy to adapt and can be applied to any part of the home and is especially great for those with young children. With young children, it is inevitable that decor and furniture are going to be well-loved. That is what makes a house a home. This shift in mindset to embrace imperfections can create a safe environment for kids to be kids without the fear of ruining expensive items.

Modern Organic

Another style that we are seeing a lot of is Modern Organic. While these terms seem to contradict each other in a way, there is a place for them here. The foundation of this decor style is lines, rounded shapes, and smooth surfaces that can be used as a foundation for your decorating for the season.

By investing in quality pieces that are simple and will last, you are allowing yourself the ability to shift your styles year to year as trends rise and fall without the need to repurchase everything for your decor. This is a style that can really be whatever you want. From vases to wall decor, this style can be applied to any aspect of your decorating process and be used for more than just the fall season.

Trends This Season

Bold Patterns

Whether you’re young or old, patterns that represent you and your styling choices can be a great way to decorate for the season. We are seeing this a lot in rugs and throw pillows as a  way to accent your normal decor and add a more personal touch to otherwise basic decor.

Smokey Glassware

Out here at the beach, we love our sea glass! Something that we have seen a lot is smokey glassware. This takes the traditional sea glass beach decor and adds that little fall twist to it! Try to find browns, tans, dark blue, greens, and yellows for glassware. These are another example of fun and easy ways to add personality to your decor choices.

Dark Wood Accents

Dark wood is all the craze this season. From cutting boards and table tops, this style is a great investment as it is timeless and can be used year-round. Use dark wood to bring that cozy feeling to any space!

Cottagecore Florals

Florals in the fall? You heard us right! Florals are very in this year! Get yours dried and you have the perfect porch decor or centerpiece for your dining room table. These florals should represent the colors that are found in nature and help your space to feel more homey and lively in this season where most everything is brown and withering away.

Easiest Ways To “Cozy Up” Your Home for Fall

When we think of fall, we think of brown and orange leaves and that feeling of coziness that we all tend to gravitate towards. Using “cozy” as a foundation for your decorating can also be of help in the design process. Some easy ways to do this are:

  • Change out your throw blankets or pillows to warmer tones and comfortable textures
  • Create an inviting fall porch scape
  • Use lamps and other sources of light to brighten your home
  • Use fall-colored hand towels
  • Use small pumpkins to garnish tables and centerpieces
  • Use glassware and pottery that can easily be filled with fall-colored items

Using “Cozy” as a starting point can help you determine what you enjoy during this season. It can also help you love your home during this cold season.

Importance of Buying Items You Love

Now we know it can be exciting to buy things each season, but we want to make sure you are buying things that you love and will last. Buying quality items while a little more expensive is an investment. Using the techniques we have found and finding your balance of trendy and timeless is what can make decorating fun from year to year!

If you are looking for quality pieces, we urge you to check out SeaWorthy Home right here in Seabrook! They offer a wide selection of decor from many different styles with a theme of coastal living woven into all of their pieces.
