Basecamp | Adventure & Bike Shop

Seabrook’s new adventure and bike shop is open on Front Street!

Offering guided adventures and top-notch bikes to get you going around town, the beach, and the mountain biking trails, along with boards, clam digging equipment rentals, and beachwear, this shop is a gateway to excitement in and around Washington’s Beach Town.

A Little About The Owners of Basecamp

It’s a family thing on the WA coast and surrounding area that began for Tiara at age 5 with summers spent at Lake Quinault.

Tiara and her husband Jake stumbled upon Seabrook in 2016 following a family trip to Quinault. From that moment on, they made Seabrook a must-do while visiting family in Washington. Seabrook reminded Tiara fondly of those childhood summers visiting her grandmother.

Over the past few years, while living outside Austin TX, Tiara and Jake were actively looking for a reason to return to the PNW and that lifestyle. Once they heard about the opportunity at Seabrook to own and operate a biking adventure venture, they knew it was time to take the leap.

Basecamp is coming to you in phases, and ultimately as your hub for “preparation, collaboration, rest, and adventure.” Currently, there’s an array of eco-friendly adventure for your time in Seabrook, including bikes and boards to rent, and beachwear gear for the lifestyle with e-bikes coming soon.

Adventures to keep an eye out for include kids camp activities along with surfing, hiking, and biking lessons. Outdoor excursion offerings will vary, and Tiara and Jake are excited to provide additional details soon.

Seabrook Real Estate – Q1 Updates With Casey Roloff

Published: March 6, 2024 | Read Time: 4.5 Minutes

ICYMI: Earlier this month, Casey Roloff, Seabrook’s co-founder, hosted a webinar to share all the exciting happenings in Washington’s Beach Town! Take a look at the recap below, where Casey shared some Seabrook history and current and future plans for the town. Get his insight on everything from upcoming expansions to technology advancements that make Seabrook an even more standout destination.

Seabrook Real Estate’s Strong Start to 2024

The 2024 kickoff for Seabrook’s Real Estate team has been exceptional, with 14 new homes already under contract! The Seabrook team has released several homes in Fernwood Station, located in Seabrook’s newest neighborhood, Fernwood. Fernwood Station, which hosts homes ranging from 400 to 800 square feet, is steps away from where a cafe will be, along with a shop for bike rentals.

“This will be a real hub for more of that outdoor adventurer that wants the mountain biking trails and easiest access to our best hiking trails,” Casey said.

More of these charming, comfortable, and energy-efficient homes are on the way, message our Sales Team to join the interest list for these releases. To view the current listings, visit here: Fernwood Neighborhood Listings

Other homes that were just released are the four, ocean-view Sellwood Rowhouses, located steps away from the town center.

“These little rowhouses are in a pretty amazing spot because of the way it orients to the ocean,” Casey said. “The reason there are two sets of balconies here is that there’s this beautiful little view looking down the street to the southwest that you see down to the sand on the beach and the surf off in the distance. Those views will be protected forever because everything has been built down below where these houses actually sit.”

These homes are a great opportunity to enjoy urban living with convenient access to the town center, beach, amenities, and trails throughout Seabrook. To view the available rowhouses, visit here: South of Market Neighborhood Listings

A Desirable Drive-To Coastal Location

Casey shared that the town’s proven successes are, in part, due to Seabrook’s prime location where it’s able to fill a gap that has long been needed for a “go-to” beach town in Washington state. A location not only with quality oceanfront property, but close proximity to nature and a short drive to the Olympic National Park.

Seabrook is also only a 2.5 hour drive from the Seattle Metropolitan area that has the #3 highest income per capita in the United States, making Seabrook a convenient option for nearby guests and buyers to explore, whether it’s for a day trip, vacation, second home or full-time residence. In addition to its location to Seattle, Seabrook’s walkability, bike-ability, and pedestrian-friendly New Urbanism design make it attractive for visitors and guests alike.

High-Quality Homes and Satisfied Owners, Rental Guests

Casey shared that Seabrook’s unwavering commitment to not only quality homes but also to guest and homeowner overall satisfaction is part of what has carried the town forward so well. An impressive 87% of guests returning to Seabrook after a first visit and 92% of homebuyers planning to recommend Seabrook to others. These statistics showcase the Seabrook teams’ dedication to a great experience from start to finish, whether it’s staying in a vacation rental or buying a home.

Revamping Seabrook’s Tech Stack

Seabrook Hospitality recently welcomed a new CEO, Erik Kettenburg, who has an extensive background in technology and specifically in the technology needed for a successful short-term rental platform – from start to finish. Erik is leading the team working to revamp Seabrook’s tech stack and improve website functionality and the overall booking experience for Seabrook’s vacation rentals. Casey shared that Seabrook is already seeing exciting growth: 12% of guests last year were new and those numbers have already grown 300% since expanding Seabrook Hospitality’s platforms and digital marketing strategies.

A Town Built for Full-time Living

Seabrook’s growth extends beyond home sales to include expanded amenities, retail, and infrastructure.

“It’s the next five years that are going to be the most exciting, doubling the size of our main street,” Casey said, speaking of the two large blocks that front the town. “We’ve been this place where people can come and vacation and have a good time, and that’s going to continue to happen at an even faster rate, but there’s also going to be more people that say ‘Wow, we could live here.’”

In addition to the oceanfront blocks being completed in the coming years, new facilities like a local medical center, regenerative farm, expanded trail network, and a new merchant with e-bike rentals will make Seabrook more livable than ever.

The medical center, that will be managed in partnership with Harbor Regional Health upon opening, has yet to break ground but will have an official date soon. In addition to this great community facility, there have been other promising local updates in the local medical field that offer comfort and assurance to locals and visitors:

Seabrook introduced a new grocery store, shuttle program, outdoor swimming pool, fitness center, and barbershop last year that has already elevated beach town living on the coast on top of the great pre-existing town amenities.

Multi-generational Living Meets Seabrook

Those who have visited Seabrook may have noticed carriage homes and ADUs on the properties of many primary residences, this emphasis on flexible housing options is all part of Seabrook’s design to help meet the needs of different families. Upcoming floor plans for ADUs will also include different options for bathrooms that have features like zero-clearance showers. Casey shared that these additions will make it easier to age in place while still being able to live here at the beach, making it an ideal situation for multigenerational families to come together, just like his family enjoys in Seabrook with multiple generations living on one property.

Seabrook’s 20th Year is Off to a Banner Start, and We’re Just Getting Started

Seabrook is growing at an incredible rate, from the modern amenities, town expansions, an improved technology stack, growing trail network, and much more. If you’re interested in watching the full webinar, view it here: Seabrook Real Estate: Q1 Updates with Casey Roloff

Introducing The Sellwood Rowhouses

Published: February 16, 2024 | Read Time: 3.5 Minutes

Seabrook Real Estate is excited to introduce the Sellwood Rowhouses: Four unique, ocean-view homes nestled in the vibrant South of Market neighborhood. These two-story, three-bedroom homes are a short stroll to the town center, while also being only steps from Kucera Park and nearby beach accesses. This premier home location in Seabrook offers the best of urban and coastal living available on the Washington Coast.

“We have a lively and burgeoning town center, and these rowhouses are just one block away from Market Street,” says Stephen Poulakos, Vice President of Town Planning & Design. “Not only do you have a great in-town park literally steps from your front porch, but you can also enjoy distant water views from your upper balcony, all while being close to your favorite shops and restaurants.”

The in-town park Poulakos refers to is the established Kucera Park in the South of Market (SOMA) neighborhood. Kucera showcases a year-round oceanview pickleball court, an activity lawn popular for yoga, an adventure playground, a community fire pit, and an easy connection to the Elk Creek neighborhood’s beach trails and access.

A Seamless Neighborhood Addition

The Sellwood Rowhouses are a natural addition to SOMA with their thoughtful exteriors and floor plans designed to accommodate flexibility while highlighting the ocean views.

“These homes are a perfect fit for somebody that wants to live urbanly while still being able to enjoy the amenities of a single-family home,” says Holly Emerson, Designated Broker. “They’re very sidewalk-centric, making it easy and natural to engage with passersby.”

Holly shares that the rowhouses’ ocean-view porches and upper-floor balconies make these homes so attractive – in addition to their open floor plans, bedroom count(three), and designated parking.

In addition to these features, Poulakos shares that these homes offer flexibility regarding different lifestyle needs. The flex space of the bedrooms for a possible in-home office, small backyards that work well for those with pets, and mudrooms perfect for stowing beach gear are great examples of their intentional design.

Well-suited For Residing Or Renting

“The value of the rowhouses is that they are three-bedroom homes close to the town center,” says Poulakos. “It would make for a great rental property or a full-time living home close to the commercial town center and energy on Market Street.”

For those interested in a rental property, Seabrook’s onsite professional property management company, Seabrook Hospitality, makes owning a rental home in Seabrook smooth and consistent. In addition to reservation management and housekeeping, they also have maintenance and full-time safety services to ensure homeowners can have peace of mind whether they are in town enjoying their home or away.

If homebuyers are searching for a slightly larger or smaller sellwood rowhouse, the two end homes have more square footage while the two center units have slightly less.

“We did this purposely to offer variety in our town center homes,” Stephen says. “As far as the sizes of the homes and related pricing, the floor plans are actually quite similar for all four homes, with the two homes on the ends enjoying slightly more space than the two midblock homes, but with all four working in concert with one another.”

New Urbanism Principles At Work

These rowhouses are great examples of the principles of New Urbanism at work here in Seabrook, creating a seamless transition from urban to more residential.

“In New Urbanism towns like this, it’s not uncommon at all to have housing units attached like this,” says Stephen. “These rowhouses are a really good architectural precedent for making that merge from solely residential to mixed-use and commercial residential areas while still keeping an urban feel.”

When it came to design specifics, these homes were designed with care by Seabrook’s team. Each home optimizes the ocean views with large window sets that let in an abundance of natural light.

“These homes are different in that they have a full front porch and second-floor balcony to allow lots of great light in,” Stephen says. “The west-facing facade windows allow you to take in those western sunsets as the warm light streams through. There’s also the really great view of Kucera Park and the distant water view of scenic Elk Creek beyond.”

The Sellwood rowhouses are a special opportunity to make the most of a beach home with their intentional floor plans, ideal location, and connectivity to the beach, town, and nature trails.

Northwest Glen

The Northwest Glen neighborhood is Seabrook’s northernmost of three oceanfront neighborhoods, all outfitted with individual beach access points. Northwest Glen boasts sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean from its wide crushed oyster shell esplanade.

The neighborhood’s iconic national park inspired log arbor and stairwell leads right down to the beach via 90 steps and is a favorite spot for capturing the perfect Seabrook sunset. Just below the esplanade rests the beautiful Northwest Glen conservation area, the epitome of the rugged and scenic Washington Coast.

This neighborhood is home to several architecturally unique homes that not only complement the natural landscape, but that have been covered in national media like Sunset & Coastal Living Magazines. This neighborhood is a short walk to the town center shops and dining. Walking to the beach from this neighborhood takes only a minute or two using the staircase.

Pacific Glen

The Pacific Glen neighborhood is Seabrook’s most central of three oceanfront neighborhoods. It offers sweeping ocean views from its wide esplanade (once the original Highway 109 before it was relocated to its existing location and renamed the Hidden Coast Scenic Byway).  A series of conveniently placed seating areas allow for great casual viewing, especially for those who are unable to manage steps down to the beach.

On the neighborhood’s north end, an oval lawn marks the site where Seabrook was established on July 22nd, 2004. Today, the lawn often serves as an ideal spot for intimate weddings and other gatherings or events. At the esplanade’s southern end is a gently winding oyster shell pathway outfitted with rustic wood-grade steps and two seating platforms for resting along the way. This neighborhood is well known for its charming mid-level gazebo that is perched to take in the perfect view of the beach and ocean. Just beyond, a wooden staircase leads right down to the sand dunes and beach beyond.  The Town Center shops and dining are just a short walk from this neighborhood. Walking to the beach from this neighborhood takes only a minute or two using the path and staircase.

Kucera Park’s amenities include: a playground, pickleball court, community fire pit, and green space. In Elk Creek’s southernmost portion of the neighborhood, one can explore the dynamic Elk Creek wetland corridor with a meandering woodland trail that winds through a windblown coastal forest. Eventually, this trail reconnects to Highway 109 and The Gnome Trail located just across the scenic roadway.  In addition, The Heritage Tree, a 200-220 (as of 2023) year-old Sitka Spruce is also located in Elk Creek at its southern end. Walking from this neighborhood to the walk-on beach access takes only a minute or two and is the only beach access that does not have stairs.

Easily accessible woodland hiking trails exist on both the north and south ends of this neighborhood. On the northern end of Crescent Park rests the historic Dorothy Anderson Cabin & Community Garden.  As the “oldest house in Seabrook”, it was preserved, relocated, and refurbished in a partnership with the Museum of the North Beach in Moclips, just 2.5 miles north of Seabrook. One of the Greenway’s most hidden parks, West Hill Park rests high above the town to overlook the Northwest Glen neighborhood and most importantly the Parker “Sunset” Amphitheater where many concerts and gatherings occur throughout the year.

The Mill neighborhood has a variety of additional trails, including a thoroughfare to the Farm District. A cozy and rustic community fire pit sits at the center of this neighborhood. Many of the homes in this neighborhood are a short walk away to the bocce ball court and community fireplace located in South Alder Park. This neighborhood is a short walk to both the indoor pool and outdoor pool and fitness center.

Farm District

The Farm District neighborhood is one of Seabrook’s largest neighborhoods and includes a wide variety of amenities and parks of varying sizes and scales. Entering the Farm District from the north (from Alderwood) through the large log archway, one will find tennis and pickleball courts. The neighborhood’s largest park, Horseshoe Park, is also in the northern section of the neighborhood and features a large activity lawn, perennial garden, and a sunken community fire pit. It enjoys a view directly into the North Pasture. Nearby Windgate Barn fronts a small orchard lined with cabins as well as the South Pasture and Seabrook Community Garden.  Both Orchard Walk Park and The Croft offer small, intimate gathering spaces complete with seating areas that enjoy a horse trough fountain (Orchard Walk Park) and a fire ring (The Croft). These parks are close to several hiking and mountain biking trail access points.

Just south of the barn is Barnhill Park, outfitted with flowering trees, a council ring of enormous log benches, a fire ring, and nearby horseshoes and pasture. The park enjoys a pastoral view of the neighborhood. Also located in the central part of this neighborhood is Sunrise Park, another intimate mid-block park with grass lawn and community fire pit. The park includes native perennials, (2) couples swings, and enjoys a territorial view of the Elk Creek corridor. Just beyond Sunrise Park is a series of log arbors that lead right to Sunrise Pool, the new heated, outdoor pool and fitness center (opened summer of 2023).

Conveniently located near Sunrise Pool are the Poolside Cabins that put you near the pool as well as right on some amazing hiking trails. Located in the southeast end of the neighborhood is the quiet and secluded Cedar Run Park.  Like many of the other parks, it also includes a community fire pit, but most importantly, it provides incredible access to some of Seabrook’s most enigmatic hiking trails dotted with several historic old-growth cedar stumps left behind from turn-of-the-century logging efforts. These forests are part of Seabrook’s Forest Stewardship Plan to improve the health of these long-since-logged coastal forests.

Walking Distance To The Beach: 15 Minutes

Fernwood

The Fernwood Neighborhood is Seabrook’s newest neighborhood bordering the expanding mountain biking and hiking trail network with several access points throughout. Fernwood is home to the expansive Meadowview Park planted with meadow grass and native Pacific Northwest wildflowers, and well-appointed with several benches and specimen trees. At its center is a large manicured lawn that will be popular for play, events, and all kinds of group gatherings. On Meadowview Park’s north end is a cedar-hedged oval meditation garden with scented perennials and shrubs to help relax and commune with nature. On the park’s south end are a couple casual swings and an evocative spiraling observation mound with children’s slide and custom-made globe fire pit that celebrates coastal floral and fauna, and the historic Westport lighthouse. It has been a year of tremendous growth, expansion, and community spirit, as we wrap up the 19th year of Seabrook memories and success. We’re celebrating our successes, sharing our highlights and achievements from the past months, and looking forward to the exciting opportunities and possibilities coming our way.

With cozy lounge chairs for sunbathing, a heated interior lounge, and onsite changing rooms for ease if you plan to complete the day by the fireplace with a beverage.

Our Town Merchants

We are so grateful for all of our merchants and so happy to have welcomed our new merchants like PONDR who have brought fresh energy and diverse shopping options into the town. Whether it’s challenging your kids to a skeeball showdown at The Arcade or discovering new houseware gems at Mr. Walrus, you won’t go wrong checking them all out. In June the opening of Fresh Foods Market was a brilliant addition to the North Beach community and Seabrook. The market offers a wide variety of fresh, local produce, meats, seafood, and organic and gluten-free options and more for your entire visit. The town’s dynamic merchant spaces and collaborative spirit is a key ingredient in its welcoming charm for both residents and visitors.

Bigfoot Brewfest

The Bigfoot Brewfest has become a beloved annual tradition in Seabrook, bringing together beer lovers, game enthusiasts and live music fans for a day of unforgettable fun.  The festival’s success is evident in its growing popularity, with each year attracting more Seabrookers and showcasing a wider variety of local craft beers from a growing list of breweries.

What Families Love About Holidays In Seabrook

September 18, 2023 | Read Time: 4 Minutes

Nestled on the bluff of the rugged Washington coast, Seabrook becomes an even more enchanting destination to stay and play during the holiday season. Families near and far bundle up and come to make memories where a sense of warmth, togetherness, and pure holiday magic lights up the beach town each year.

“I’ve experienced every month of the year in Seabrook and the ‘ber months are my favorites!” says Meredith M., a Seabrook homeowner. “From mid-September to mid-December, there’s no place I’d rather be!”

From cozy vacation rentals to bustling annual festivities and winter things to do, it’s an idyllic getaway just waiting to happen.

The Enchanting Coastal Ambiance During The Holidays

As the holiday season approaches, Seabrook transforms into a twinkling paradise with festive decor all throughout the town. A walk around town during the day and into the evening to take in the soft glow of holiday lights is a must for families this time of year.

“For the past two years, we’ve been delighted by the parade and snow dump!” says Molly B., a Seabrook homeowner. “It is such a fun way to prepare for the holidays! An added bonus is the hot cocoa bar – which we sometimes enjoy as we sit in the lobby and enjoy the lovely fire. This rest and relaxation time is a nice break from work and school and helps us gear up for Christmas with family!”

Winter in the Pacific Northwest is an especially entrancing experience where nature shows its majesty, from roaring ocean waves to beautiful mornings as fog rests on the coast. In Seabrook, your crew can stay indoors to enjoy the spectacles or go outdoors and explore the sights.

“My absolute favorite part of Winter in Seabrook is curled up under a blanket with the fireplace roaring, watching a storm blow in from the ocean,” says Stephanie G. of Seabrook Hospitality. “The water running down the windows like I am in a carwash while I am cozy in a nice, warm Seabrook home is a sight to see.”

The Best Washington Winter Activities On The Coast

Not a huge fan of snow sports in the winter? The Washington coast is the perfect place to get all of the outdoor adventures in without going through a snowy mountain pass or white-knuckling your way through heavy snowfall. Visitors can even enjoy the ice skating rink in Seabrook from November to January! Whether you’re traveling solo or with a group, you can find activities for everyone to enjoy, from razor clam digging to snuggly nights in.

“We love digging for razor clams!” says Kim V., a Seabrook homeowner. “Five clams makes a hearty pot of chowder. For a perfect winter evening, we pair the chowder with a crisp white wine and a loaf of crusty bread from the market. It tastes best snuggled in front of the cozy fireplace.”

Other outdoor activities not to miss this winter are beach bonfires, surfing, river fishing, mountain biking, hiking, sports courts, and, of course, the famous Winter Glass Float Find.

“My kids all love participating in the glass float find,” says Katie T. of Seabrook Hospitality. “It’s a new challenge every day and they’re always so excited to figure out what the clues mean and go searching for the beautifully made glass floats!”

Winter is also a great time to enjoy the wide open beaches with fewer crowds that make for some of the most serene moments of the year.

“There’s something special about quiet winter walks on the beach in Seabrook and settling in with a glass of vino by the fire at The Stowaway Wine Bar in Seabrook,” says Tiffany E., a Seabrook homeowner.

Indoor Winter Pastimes For A Cozy Stay

With so much to do outdoors, there’s just as much to do indoors to make for a full and relaxing getaway to the beach. The holidays make for a great time to shop through the local boutiques for unique holiday gifts or to pick up something to pamper yourself while on vacation.

When it’s time to eat, the restaurants around town offer up plenty of menu items with comfort foods and warming beverages to make you forget about the winter chill.

The indoor fun to be had at Seabrook isn’t limited to families, many friend groups steal away to the coast with their best friends for a getaway during winter, too.

“Girls weekend at the beach during the winter is the best,” says Lisa L., “Games, movies, great goodies from the Seabrook bakery, and evenings in the hot tub!”

The indoor experiences around town are another activity people love to do during the holidays, too. From custom candle pouring with handpicked winter fragrances, playing an afternoon away at the arcade, or swimming, lasting memories happen effortlessly with an afternoon spent in Seabrook.

Blue skies, bike rides, markets, and concerts have us all feeling the sunkissed highs of summer as we make the very most of a perfect season on the Washington coast. Every day is filled with beachgoing, shopping finds, delicious bites, and plenty of relaxation. If you’re in need of one last summer getaway, there’s still time to come and take in all of the summertime activities that are all complimentary for Seabrook guests to attend or utilize around town.

Welcoming Autumn Adventures In A Small Town

As September approaches, we can’t help but think about all of the reasons we love spending fall in our small beach town. The great nightly rates, fewer crowds, and the quiet beckoning to slow down and savor each moment are the cherries on top of an exceptional fall getaway. That’s what makes it the best time to plan that friends getaway, workcation, or couples retreat to embrace living life on beach time and experiencing fall favs in one place.

The September Encore Series is the perfect way to unwind and catch some stunning coastal sunsets throughout the month. Every Saturday of September at 5:30 PM, sit back and enjoy the music or get up and dance to the beat. We’ve got a great lineup of artists to come and see:

September 2nd – The Hipocrats

September 9th – Brian James Trio

September 16th – Red Light Challenge

September 23rd – Big Love – Fleetwood Mac Tribute

September 30th – Ian Ayers & The Soul Purpose

The Washington coast is no exception when it comes to the season of harvest! The popular mushroom foraging classes in Seabrook hosted by local experts, Micheal and Dan, is back for another season of education and hunting for choice edible mushrooms. See if you can find chanterelles, porcini, chicken of the woods, and more on the outings each Saturday from September 23rd through November 11th. These classes sell out quickly so make sure to snag your tickets early.

We can hardly contain our excitement in what’s brewing for this year’s Bigfoot Brewfest on Saturday, October 7th! We’ve invited even more regional breweries, distilleries, and cideries to offer up their beverages. The fun and games are also revamped this year for lots of laughs and some friendly competitions. Keep an eye out for more details and tickets to go live soon.

A costume parade, hay maze, pumpkin promenade and of course, the best trick-or-treating on the Washington coast happens during the Seabrook Halloweekend! Families from near and far come to spend the best of the spooky season at the beach with family fun and activities from October 27th through October 29th.

Fall Adventuring In The Outdoors

If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, we know you’ve been on a countdown to the change in season, too. From guided fishing trips, clam digging, hiking, mountain biking, beachcombing, or surfing, your time to gear up and head out is almost here. If you need any gear or advice, we’ve got you covered for whatever you need to make those adventures happen.

A Cozy Getaway In The Making

When kids are back in school in fall, spending time around town any day of the week becomes a playground for the adult crowd. Adults of all ages come play and experience the flipside of the beachtown when its more laid back, making experiences feel exceptionally unhurried and low-key. We recommend trying things like custom candle making at Lorraine’s, private shopping events at Magnolias, wine tasting at The Stowaway, a town tour, backyard cookouts, hot tubbing, bonfires, and bike rides around town to take in the relaxed atmosphere this time of year.

Enjoy peaceful evenings taking in an oceanfront view or feeling cozy nestled by a fireplace this fall in a Washington coast vacation rental. With homes of all sizes, along with dog-friendly homes, or homes with private fire pits or hot tubs, finding your ideal place to unwind is easy in Seabrook. It’s not too soon to start thinking about Seabrook Halloweekend or Thanksgiving at the beach!

Explore Copalis Rock

Copalis Rock is a must-see stop if you find yourself on the Washington coast and would like to get a close look at tide pools near Seabrook. Copalis Rock is one of the seastacks that is visible from Seabrook’s bluff, if you look south while on Seabrook’s beach on a clear day, you can spot the seastack further down the shore.

@seabrookwa Walk 3 miles on the beach from Seabrook or drive to Roosevelt beach access and walk a mile to see what the PNW has to offer 🦀🐚🦦 #washingtoncoast #washington #nature #beach #beachtown #summervacation #smalltown #SplashSummerVibe #fyp #newurbanism #pnw #seabrookwa ♬ Reflections on 52nd – AGM3

When To Go

In order to see the sea creatures up close, you’ll want to make sure you visit during very low tide. If it’s not at a very low tide, it may not be possible to approach the seastack to its base. Keep an eye out for bright green anemones, orange, red, and purple starfish, barnacles, mussels, and more!

How To Get There

Though you can walk from Seabrook’s beach to the seastack, it’s a long trek (an hour or more each way, depending on your pace and there are streams you’ll need to cross). Beach goers often opt to drive to the Roosevelt Beach approach about 5 minutes south of Seabrook and drive on the beach towards Copalis Rock, parking nearer for a shorter walk. If you’re not familiar with driving on the beach, make sure to stay on the packed sand and pay close attention to the tides if you plan to leave your vehicle. Also take care crossing any streams as the depth can be difficult to gauge.

Seabrook Completes $20 Million Expansion For Historic Summer Season

Published: July 31, 2023 | Read Time: 5.5 Minutes

This summer marks a milestone in Seabrook’s growth with the completion of a $20 million town expansion. Exciting new amenities and merchants take our coastal town to new heights for both locals and visitors. From the opening of Fresh Foods Market, to a new heated outdoor pool and fitness center, several new hiking and biking trails, as well as Seabrook’s largest park to date in its newest Fernwood Neighborhood, Seabrook is excited to show off all it has to offer.

“The addition of a new grocery store and several new businesses will only enhance the homeowner and guest experience!” says town co-founder, Casey Roloff. “This is a monumental accomplishment for the entire Seabrook team and our local community that supports us.”

Welcoming New & Expanded Merchant Spaces

Fresh Foods Market

A crowd with eager smiles lined Market Street in June for the highly-anticipated grand opening of the full-service Fresh Foods Market. Once the doors opened, shoppers were welcomed inside to browse the 13,000 square foot space, stocked with a huge selection of items including fresh produce, meats, seafood, beer, wine and liquor, ready-to-eat meals, gluten-free products, fresh flowers, sundries, and much more.

“Seabrook is like a puzzle,” says Robyn Roloff, Casey’s mother, at the Fresh Foods Market opening. “Each piece that is added makes a new and better picture than before.”

Locals and visitors alike can enjoy the convenience of having a fully stocked grocery store offering affordable pricing right in the center of town. Expanded daily hours make shopping a breeze, whether for the week or for the night.

“The grocery store is an absolute game changer for our town,” says Casey. “It’s the anchor to our entire town center.”

To the delight of both adults and children, the 80s retro-style arcade opened on Front Street just in time for Fourth of July celebrations! Players can head up to the Arcade loft  to play classic games like PacMan or pinball, or enjoy newer games like skee ball, pop a shot and dance games on the main floor. While you’ll find all the classic games, the payment and ticketing system is state-of-the-art, with a system that tracks your point count making it easy to redeem prizes. The nostalgic feeling and memories made at the Arcade are all part of a great summer in Seabrook.

Welcoming New Town Amenities

Sunrise Pool & Fitness Center

The 25-yard, 3-lane lap pool and 20-person spa are officially open, with homeowners and guests splashing around daily! This new year-round amenity is an unforgettable highlight of the summer. Attached to the pool facility is the Sunrise fitness center, complete with all the best gym and workout equipment. Homeowners and Seabrook guests are welcomed through a large log arbor entrance into the lobby for check-in. If they wear their resort wristband, there’s no need to check in. A retail space within the building will offer items such as goggles and swimsuits for purchase.

Meadowview Park

Welcome Seabrook’s largest and most unique park to date. Located in Fernwood, Meadowview Park has just recently been completed and includes a large activity lawn, a rolling wildflower meadow, an oval mediation lawn and fragrance garden, and a spiraling overlook mound outfitted with a large globe fire pit and Adirondack chairs to take in the expansive Elk Creek watershed. A couple of swings and a children’s slide will offer new places for kids and families to play! Loaded with park benches, this park is a perfect place to take in a Washington coast sunset and even provides a great and scenic jogging route to experience Seabrook in new and interesting ways.

Pickleball Courts

It’s a great summer for more pickleball on the Washington coast! Check out the three new pickleball court conversions in the Farm District, with several new courts to be built in Fernwood. Welcoming New & Improved Trails

Mountain Biking

Summer on the coast is the best time to check out the growing trail system network in and around Seabrook with acres of trails to explore. Ocean Rollers is a brand new trail ready just in time for summer! Nearly all of the DNR (Department of Natural Resources) trails are kid-friendly too, so everyone has a chance to get out and adventure together. Check out the mountain biking map for the latest information: Seabrook Mountain Biking.

Welcoming Expanded Service In Hospitality

New Laundry Facility

Seabrook Hospitality opened a 20,000-square-foot laundry facility that is working to expand hospitality operations and support a luxury linen program in the near future. The facility allows our housekeeping team to keep up with the high demand of getting homes ready for visitors on time and vacation ready.

Welcoming The Next Phase

New Town Additions On The Way

All of the excitement around the $20 million expansion completion is getting the Seabrook team even more excited about what is to come.

“We’re only halfway done with our town center, this is only the beginning,” Casey says. “Over the next three to four years we expect to have our entire vision fulfilled with the completion of the town center, we are going to be laser-focused on completing these next two blocks.”

This summer, Seabrook broke ground on Pacific Landing, which includes townhouses, condos, live-work spaces, new shops, and an oceanfront restaurant. The last block that is set to complete the town center is the Northwest Block. The Northwest Block is still in its design phase, though the concepts include attractive architecture with possibilities of expansive bay windows, balconies, rooftop decks, townhouses, a small inn, and additional mixed-use buildings.
