From Thanksgiving festivities to December celebrations, here’s your guide to holiday events, seasonal activities, shopping, dining, and places to stay on the Washington Coast.

Gather For Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving in Seabrook brings together good food, festive traditions, and a little fun before the feast. Spend less time in the kitchen and more time around the table when you take home a ready-made Thanksgiving meal from Seabrook Catering. Enjoy traditional holiday favorites prepared for you and ready to share at your vacation home. Meals serve four for $160, with additional options available. Orders must be placed by November 18, with pickup on Wednesday, November 25.
Before settling in for Thanksgiving dinner, join Seabrook’s annual Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 26, at 9:30 AM. This festive 3K run or walk begins at Town Hall and winds through the streets of Seabrook. Dress in your favorite holiday costume, bring the whole crew, or enjoy a brisk morning walk. With refreshments waiting at the finish line, it’s a fun way to start Thanksgiving Day.

Celebrate the Season With Jolly Days
From November 27 through December 19, Seabrook comes alive with Jolly Days, the town’s annual holiday celebration filled with festive shopping, Santa’s Workshop, live entertainment, magical snowfall, and plenty of small-town cheer.
The festivities begin on Friday, November 27, with the Jolly Days Opening Celebration. Gather in Meriweather Square for holiday music and the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, when the town’s Christmas tree lights up the night at 5:30 PM. Afterward, head to Town Hall at 6:00 PM for Jolly Nights Live, featuring a special holiday performance by Taproot Theatre.

Saturdays bring a full afternoon of holiday fun, starting with Santa’s Workshop, where families can enjoy crafts and seasonal activities. Explore the Jolly Trail as participating shops welcome holiday shoppers, listen for roaming carolers, and keep an eye out for appearances by Seabrook’s very own Yule the Yeti. Magical snowfall moments add to the festivities throughout the afternoon, with holiday music and a final illuminated snowfall at 5:30 PM.
The celebration builds to a festive finale on Saturday, December 19, with the illuminated Jolly Days Holiday Parade. After an afternoon of shopping, crafts, and holiday entertainment, gather at 5:00 PM to watch Yule the Yeti lead the glowing procession through town. Stick around afterward for holiday music, magical snowfall, cocoa, festive photos, and a community gathering to close out the season.
With decorated storefronts, holiday entertainment, and special moments around every corner, Jolly Days is a wonderful reason to spend a December weekend in Seabrook. Enjoy the celebrations, explore the shops, and discover a few new holiday traditions along the way.

More Holiday Traditions to Enjoy
The celebrations extend beyond Jolly Days with seasonal experiences that add a little extra fun to a winter getaway.
From November 27 through January 1, the Winter Glass Float Find turns Seabrook into a holiday treasure hunt. One glass float is hidden around town each day, giving visitors a reason to explore parks, paths, and public spaces while keeping an eye out for a colorful glass treasure.

On Saturday, December 12, the Beachside Author Series welcomes bestselling author Sheila Roberts to Town Hall. Known for her heartwarming stories, humor, and holiday fiction, Roberts will share insights into her writing and her book Have Yourself a Merry Little Meltdown. Hosted in partnership with Joie Des Livres, the afternoon includes an author conversation, book signing, and an opportunity to connect over a shared love of books.

Winter Days on the Washington Coast
The holidays aren’t all about staying indoors. Winter brings crisp coastal air, quiet stretches of beach, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy Seabrook’s natural surroundings.
Take a walk along the sand, search for shells and driftwood, or explore the wooded trails that wind through and around town. A peaceful hike or afternoon of beachcombing is a refreshing way to enjoy the quieter side of the season.
For a little more adventure, winter brings bigger swells to the Washington Coast. Experienced surfers can take advantage of the season’s waves, while those staying on shore can enjoy watching from a safe distance.

Winter is also a popular season for razor clam digging. When approved digs are open, head to the beach with your clam gun or shovel and try your luck finding these local favorites. Digging opportunities depend on Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife approvals and marine toxin testing, so check current conditions and regulations before making plans.
After a day outdoors, bundle up around one of Seabrook’s community fire pits or enjoy a beach bonfire where permitted. A warm drink, a cozy blanket, and good company make a lovely end to a winter day.
Cozy Up With Indoor Activities
When the temperature drops, Seabrook has plenty of ways to keep the fun going indoors.
Take a dip in the heated Crescent Indoor Pool, challenge each other to arcade games, or get creative with a candle-making workshop at Lorraine’s Candle Studio.
For a little hands-on fun, stop by Lips & Lids to create a custom lipstick or lip gloss and personalize a hat. It’s a playful way to spend an afternoon and come away with something uniquely yours.

If you’re in the mood for something quieter, browse the shelves at Joie Des Livres and pick out a new book to enjoy by the fireplace. It’s also a lovely stop for holiday gifts, from favorite stories to something unexpected for the reader on your list.
And if a little relaxation is on your holiday wish list, book a treatment at Spa Elizabeth and enjoy some time to unwind between the festivities.
Find Something Special in Seabrook’s Shops
Holiday shopping is even more enjoyable when you can wander between independent shops, discover thoughtful gifts, and stop for coffee or a sweet treat along the way.
Find curated skincare and wellness gifts at Salt + Honey Apothecary, discover toys and games at Brooklets Toys, or shop for the outdoor enthusiast on your list at Basecamp and Sprig & Swell. Browse apparel and accessories at Sol-ful, PONDR, and NAHLA, or explore the eclectic finds at Mr. Walrus.

For the food lovers on your list, Fresh Foods Market offers gourmet treats and gift basket options, while The Salty Dog has plenty of goodies for four-legged family members.
With Seabrook’s shops just a short walk apart, it’s easy to spend an afternoon checking off your gift list and finding a little something for yourself, too.
Holiday Dining, Sweet Treats & Festive Toasts
Between holiday events and coastal adventures, there’s always time for something delicious.
Start the morning with coffee and a fresh pastry from Vista Bakeshop, stop by Sweet Life for an afternoon treat, or settle in for a comforting meal at Rising Tide Tavern. Frontager’s Pizza is a favorite for gathering around the table after a full day of holiday activities.

For an evening out, enjoy a glass of wine at The Stowaway Wine Bar or a cocktail at Koko’s. From casual meals to celebratory drinks, Seabrook’s restaurants offer plenty of ways to enjoy the season.
And when you’d rather stay in, pick up your favorite ingredients for a homemade meal or bring dinner back to your vacation home for a cozy evening together.
Plan Your Perfect Holiday Getaway
