A New Short Golf Course & Pickleball Club Is Coming to Seabrook

Published: October 2, 2026  | Read Time: 4 Minutes

Golf is coming to Seabrook! Expected to be playable by summer 2028, a new 15-hole short course will introduce a whole new way to get outside and play on the Washington Coast. Inspired by destinations like Shorty’s at Bandon Dunes and Quicksands at Gamble Sands, the course is being designed around shorter rounds and an experience that welcomes a range of skill levels.

“It’s going to be an incredible addition to our beach town,” says Casey Roloff, Town Co-founder. “We’re creating something that feels distinctly Seabrook that is casual, welcoming, and fun for everyone to enjoy. It’s less about the traditional country club experience and more about bringing people together for a great time.”

The shorter format fits naturally into the way people spend their days at Seabrook, making it possible to fit in a round of golf alongside a beach walk, time on the trails, lunch in Town Center, or an afternoon at the pool. Designed with a casual, social approach to the game, the course will offer another way for families and friends to get outside and spend time together.

The course will sit between Fernwood, Farm District, and Makers Village, placing it within Seabrook’s growing network of neighborhoods and trails.  Its central location will make it easy to reach on foot or by bike and work a round of golf into a day spent exploring Seabrook.

Seabrook’s New 15-Hole Short Golf Course

Rather than a traditional full-length golf experience, Seabrook’s course will feature 15 holes ranging from 70 to 140 yards, with a layout designed to be enjoyable for everyone from beginners to experienced golfers. A separate putting course and clubhouse are also part of the plans, offering options for a quick game, a full round, or a place to grab a bite and spend time together off the course.

“For years, the biggest drawback to being a golfer in Seabrook was the total lack of quality golf nearby. You had to drive nearly an hour and a half just to hit Salish Cliffs in Shelton,” says Jeff Gundersen, Seabrook’s CFO and golf enthusiast. “Having a quality 15-hole short course changes everything. We’ll be able to play a quick 90-minute round, grab food at the clubhouse, and enjoy active coastal living in any season.”

There will also be a 30-yard playoff hole, perfect for settling a tie after a little friendly competition.

About the Golf Course Designer

Bringing the vision for Seabrook’s short course to life is golf course architecture firm Jackson Kahn Design, known for creating courses that work with the character of the land while keeping play engaging and fun.

“I’m equally excited that they hired him as the golf course designer,” Gundersen says. “Their work at high-profile venues like Monterey Peninsula Country Club and Scottsdale National proves they know how to build bold, creative, and endlessly fun layouts.”

Jackson Kahn’s design philosophy starts with the land itself, using the natural character and flow of a site to help determine how a course moves through its surroundings. Elements such as bunkers and water features are designed to feel at home within the landscape rather than added simply for the sake of the game.

The firm also emphasizes “playability for all,” with courses intended to keep experienced golfers engaged while remaining enjoyable for newer players. It’s an approach that aligns closely with the vision for golf at Seabrook, where the focus is as much on gathering and having fun as it is on the game itself.

A New Pickleball Club With Indoor and Outdoor Courts

Golf isn’t the only new recreation planned for this area of Seabrook. A new pickleball club will bring eight additional courts to town, including four indoor and four outdoor courts.

“Having premier, year-round amenities like indoor courts gives travelers a reason to visit coastlines in the colder months,” says Gundersen.

Planned just west of the clubhouse, the pickleball club will give players more options throughout the year, including indoor play when Washington Coast weather calls for heading inside. The eight courts will join Seabrook’s existing pickleball courts at the entrance to Farm District and at Kucera Park near Town Center, continuing to grow the town’s pickleball community.

More Ways to Play at Seabrook

The new short golf course and pickleball club will build on a long list of ways to get outside, stay active, and spend time together at Seabrook. From swimming and pickleball to hiking, mountain biking, and afternoons spent at parks around town, recreation has always been part of the lifestyle here.

When the course opens, a round of golf might become another part of a day at the coast, followed by lunch in Town Center, a stroll through the shops, and hunting for shells at the beach. And with new indoor pickleball courts planned, there will be even more ways to stay active throughout the year.

As Seabrook continues to grow, the goal remains the same: creating more reasons to get outside, connect with the people around you, and enjoy the Washington Coast.
