Seabrook Beach Accesses

Your perfect beach day starts with the path that takes you there! Each of Seabrook’s three pedestrian beach accesses offers a unique journey to Mocrocks Beach, with ocean overlooks, coastal trails, wooden staircases, and quiet places to pause along the way.

And you won't have to wait long to get there. Each route takes just a few minutes from Town Center to the sand, followed by a flat walk across the beach to reach the waves. Choose the staircase through Northwest Glen, take in the viewpoints along Pacific Glen, or follow the stair-free trail from Elk Creek through coastal forest and into the dunes.

Northwest Glen Beach Access

Pass beneath Northwest Glen’s national park-inspired log arbor and begin the descent toward the beach, with the coastal landscape opening up around you as you make your way toward the sand. The wooden staircase winds down toward Nellie Creek, with places to stop and take in the surroundings along the way.

Good to know: The route includes a 90-step wooden staircase with railings and benches spaced along the descent. At the bottom, a short ramp crosses Nellie Creek before reaching the sand.

Pacific Glen Beach Access

Pacific Glen offers a more gradual walk toward the beach, beginning with a wide path that winds down through windswept trees. Benches with sweeping ocean views invite you to linger along the way, while a wooden gazebo overlooking the Pacific makes a perfect place to pause for a photo before the final staircase leads down to the sand.

Good to know: The route begins with a wide, gently sloping oyster shell path with 24 cut-in steps, followed by a 46-step wooden staircase with railings down to the beach. Multiple benches offer places to stop and rest along the descent.

Elk Creek Beach Access

For a stair-free route to the beach, begin at Overlook Park in the Elk Creek neighborhood, where ocean views offer a glimpse of where you're headed before the trail begins its descent. From the park, a wide oyster shell path leads down to the Beach Trail, with two other trail connections along the Elk Creek Esplanade.

For a trail adventure from within the Mill District, start on Seabrook’s popular Gnome Trail, carefully cross SR 109, and continue along the Beach Trail as it winds through the coastal forest. As you near the ocean, the route opens onto a sandy path surrounded by dune grass and scattered driftwood before the landscape gives way to the wide-open beach and Pacific beyond.

Good to know: This is Seabrook’s only stair-free beach access. The main route from Overlook Park offers a wide, smooth path leading toward the beach, though portions are moderately steep and may become muddy when wet. Bikes should be walked, and those using strollers or wagons should use caution. Other connections to the Beach Trail are narrower and more rugged.

Beach Access Safety

Before heading onto the sand, take a moment to check the Beach Warning Flag posted at each of Seabrook’s beach accesses. The flags indicate current beach hazard levels and help communicate what conditions to expect before approaching the water.

Ocean and weather conditions can change quickly along the Washington Coast, so always pay attention to posted warnings and current conditions during your visit.

Choose Your Route to the Beach

With three distinct ways to reach the sand, part of the fun is discovering your favorite. Take a different path on your next beach walk, stop at an overlook you haven't visited before, or simply follow whichever trail is closest when the ocean calls.

And when you're ready for a change of scenery, explore nearby beach accesses up and down the Washington Coast, including drive-on approaches just a few minutes from Seabrook.
