Celebrate Día de los Muertos in Seabrook on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31 with a weekend of creativity, remembrance, and community. Rooted in Mexican traditions honoring loved ones who have passed, the celebration brings families together through a community ofrenda, hands-on workshops, music, dance, and a Marigold Candlelight Procession through town.

Friday: Community Creation Day
1:00–6:00 PM at Town Hall
Preparing for Día de los Muertos is part of the celebration itself. In many Mexican communities, families and neighbors gather to create decorations, prepare offerings, and share stories of loved ones.
Join us at Town Hall to take part in that spirit of togetherness. Make paper marigolds, craft papel picado, decorate memory butterflies, and help build Seabrook’s community ofrenda, a shared altar of remembrance.
Guests are invited to bring a photo or memory of someone they love to contribute to the ofrenda while helping create the colorful pieces that will become part of Saturday’s celebration. All ages are welcome, and no crafting experience is needed.
Saturday: Día de los Muertos Celebration
Saturday’s celebration brings the community together at Town Hall and along Market Street for an afternoon and evening of remembrance, art, music, and dance.
The community ofrenda and memory butterfly installation open at Town Hall at 11:00 AM, giving guests time to visit and contribute before the evening celebration. From 1:00–4:30 PM, calavera face painting will be available for guests preparing to join the procession.
At 4:30 PM, gather for the evening’s Marigold Candlelight Procession. The procession begins at 5:00 PM, with Catrinas leading the way through Market Street to Town Hall. A mariachi and folklórico performance follows at 5:30 PM.

Día de los Muertos activities take place across both Friday and Saturday, with time in between to enjoy Seabrook at your own pace. Explore the beach and trails, stop into town for a meal, and return to Town Hall and Market Street as the weekend’s celebration continues.
