Meet Jeff Alworth

Jeff Alworth is the award-winning author of several books, including The Secrets of Master Brewers, The Widmer Way, and his IACP-winning The Beer Bible. He has written about beer for over twenty years, and his articles have appeared in a number of newspapers and magazines. In addition to writing, Jeff has consulted with breweries about their communications strategies and taught university courses about beer and the brewing business. He regularly leads educational tastings and events, and has spoken to audiences in Norway, Hungary, and across the US. In the spring of 2024, Jeff helped found the nonprofit Celebrate Oregon Beer to promote the state’s brewing and hop-growing industries, and serves as the organization’s executive director.
