Roll Into Summer with Bocce Ball Lessons at Fernwood Station
Join us Saturdays from May 23 through August 29, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fernwood Station Games Courtyard bocce court for a relaxed, one-hour lesson in this classic game.
Spend a summer morning learning bocce in one of Seabrook’s most playful gathering spaces. These sessions are designed for beginners and curious players alike, offering a welcoming introduction with tips, techniques, and just enough friendly competition to keep things fun. Lessons are free, and all equipment is provided, so it’s easy to jump in and start playing.
Lessons are led by Brian Chambers, who brings decades of experience to the court. He first learned the game as a teenager in Sacramento, where local players generously passed down their knowledge and love of bocce. He’s been playing ever since, both formally and informally, and enjoys sharing the game with others.
Open to ages 10 and up, lessons are first-come, first-served. Step onto the court for the first time or build on what you know, and settle into a laid-back Seabrook summer weekend.
Make a day of it in Fernwood Station, with a post-game lunch at the seasonal food trucks coming this summer, followed by ping pong, cornhole, or time at the skim pond.
