Set along Market Street’s east end opposite the Town Hall, the Newhart Building introduces a new way for groups to stay, gather, and celebrate in Seabrook.
The Newhart Building, opening for reservations in May 2026, is a large group vacation rental in Seabrook’s Town Center, designed specifically for gatherings like weddings, family reunions, and corporate retreats. This inn-inspired style rental will be completed soon, and features nine private bedroom suites, each with a king bed and ensuite bathroom, paired with spacious shared living areas that make it easy to gather as a group.

The Newhart offers a purpose-built solution in the heart of town. Here, the comfort of private hotel-style suites meets the ease and connection of a single shared home. It’s an ideal fit for any group looking for a large vacation rental on the Washington Coast that makes staying together feel easy.
Where Classic Design Meets Modern Coastal Living
The Newhart Building takes its name from the popular 1980’s Newhart TV series, reflecting the idea of a welcoming rural inn in a small town.
“For those of you that are old enough to remember the Newhart show, it is evocative of an inn set within a rural locale, but updated to exist in Seabrook’s charming main street setting with today’s modern conveniences,” says Stephen Poulakos, VP of Town Planning & Design.

Designed in collaboration with Michael Benjamin of MBA Architects (Tacoma) and Paul Moon Design (Seattle), the building reflects an upscale shingle-style inn, blending classic Pacific Northwest coastal architecture with modern functionality.
Inside, the furnishings and artwork reflect the relaxed, coastal lifestyle that defines Seabrook, with inspiration drawn from the cozy, welcoming feel of historic national park inns in the region. The overall design brings together comfort and simplicity in a way that feels both elevated and approachable.
Located on Market Street in Seabrook’s Town Center
Location is one of the defining features of the Newhart Building.
Positioned on the east end of Market Street in Seabrook’s Town Center, the building sits directly across from Town Hall, a central venue for events, weddings, and community gatherings. It is also next door to the East Main Conference Room, making it especially convenient for business retreats and group meetings.

From here, everything is within reach. Shops, dining, and Fresh Foods Market are just steps away, and beach access is only a short walk beyond. Many of the building’s vantage points offer ocean views, with sightlines down Market Street toward the water, especially from the second-floor dining room and third-floor bridal suite/executive suite located in the building’s corner turret.
Beyond the guest experience, the Newhart Building also adds to the energy of Market Street with two new ground-floor retail spaces, bringing fresh storefronts to this growing stretch of Town Center. One will become the new home of Mr. Walrus, a high-end kitchen and bath shop relocating from Front Street.
The Newhart also represents something bigger for Seabrook.
“This is a really important time for Seabrook, because we are working hard at finishing out the entire Town Center. Both on the west end with the Pacific Landing Block and Sunset District’s ocean view neighborhood, as well as the east end with the Newhart Building,” says Poulakos.

Ideal for Weddings, Retreats, and Group Getaways
The Newhart Building is designed to support a wide range of group stays in Seabrook.
For destination weddings, it allows wedding parties to stay together in one place, get ready on-site, and walk directly across the street to Town Hall or gather at nearby Seabrook venues like the Bluff, an elevated ocean view overlook on the Pacific Glen Esplanade, popular for wedding ceremonies.
For family reunions, it offers a rare combination of shared space and private suites, making it easier for multiple generations to stay comfortably together.
For corporate retreats, the layout supports both structured meetings and informal connection, with spaces that transition easily from work to relaxation.
For groups searching for a large vacation rental with multiple bedrooms and private bathrooms, the Newhart provides a flexible and thoughtfully designed option.

The Newhart Building is designed across three levels, with spaces that support both gathering and privacy.
On the ground floor, guests enter through a private entrance with a covered front porch overlooking Town Hall. This level includes a bedroom suite and elevator access to all floors, improving accessibility for guests.
