Introduction

A gorgeous, new home in the Farm District with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms that can accommodate 7 guests. Shifting Gears offers all the comforts of home to make your stay at Seabrook cozy and fun. Located on the Eastern edge of town, tucked away from the shops and crowds on Front Street, the Farm District offers farm, woodland and pasture views. In a truly rural setting, you can stroll through the orchards, community gardens, idyllic farm gates, and fences, all making this the ideal farm escape right within Seabrook.

Living Room & Kitchen

Upon entering Shifting Gears, you will find a spacious open floor plan perfect for gathering everyone together, with its 10' ceilings it feels huge, while still maintaining a coziness. The living room has a large sectional couch and 2 cozy armchairs so you can all be together watching movies on the 40" flat screen TV. The kitchen is perfect for foodies alike with upgraded, stainless appliances including a cook top with a griddle and a steam bake option in the oven (perfect for breads and desserts). A large custom island comfortably seats 4 so you can socialize while you cook. We have provided for all your cooking and serving needs with plates, glasses, utensils, cookware and small appliances, including a Keurig. There is ample room to store your supplies in the large pantry. We didn't forget about the kids; Shifting Gears comes with kid plates and utensils.

Dining Room & Backyard

From the kitchen, you move on to the dining room where a substantial farm table seats 6 and is perfect for big breakfasts, family dinners and board games. Sliding doors lead to a small deck with a gas grill ready for all your BBQ needs. Shifting Gears is nicely situated at the beginning of Blueberry Lane so you only have neighbors on one side and the backyard looks out to the picturesque Windgate Barn. In the backyard you can enjoy a wonderful hot tub and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy those amazing summer days.

Flex Space

Moving upstairs you'll find a great flex space at the main landing with a built-in day bed - perfect, which is great for reading, getting a little work done or taking a little nap. For practical thinking people, there is a quiet, stackable washer and dryer in the closet in the flex space. You'll also find a grand assortment of DVDs, games and beach supplies in the closet to help assure you have everything you need to make this at vacation you'll always remember.

Full Bath

There is a full bath for convenience at the top of the stairs that serves as the bathroom for the guest room and bunk room. It includes a tub/shower combination, pedestal sink, and a small linen storage.

Bunk Room

This Bunk Room is perfect for kids. While absolutely charming for younger ones, it is also plenty comfortable for adults. The built-in bunks are extra-long twins with spacious drawers below. There is a closet for shoes and hanging items. The room is small and cozy, but let’s be real, when you're at Seabrook having a giant bedroom is a waste with all the fun activities to do, not to mention the hours you'll spend at the beach. The Flex Space outside of the bunk room is perfect for all the playing that will take place indoors.

Upstairs Primary Bedroom

The primary bedroom upstairs is a nice, cozy retreat from the rest of the house. Large windows and beautiful pasture views provide you with an escape from it all. A king bed with a 4" memory foam mattress topper along with a lofty comforter steep you in comfort, a reading chair and lamp are great for settling into for an early cup of coffee or tea. For those who like to watch TV in bed, we have you covered. The master bath has a pedestal sink, storage, and a tub/shower combination.

Outdoors

Our location is great, just down the street is the playground, basketball, tennis and pickle ball courts, and Horseshoe Park with a cool community fire pit perfect for s'mores. The Farm District offers a quieter, more relaxing Seabrook experience, which we know you'll appreciate.

The front of the house gives the air of welcome with an amazing Farm-style front porch furnished with comfortable seating and a space heater. It is a cozy place to wave to neighbors year-round, watch the kids riding bikes while you have a glass of wine, or play a game of cards in the late afternoon sun. All the paths in the Farm District are strung with bistro lights, which looks whimsical in the evening. All of the homes also have wonderful front porches that face one another so meeting your neighbors seems effortless.

It would be the ideal place for a girls` or guys` getaway or when gathering for a reunion, wedding, birthday or holiday. We would love you to consider our home your favorite home, just as we do! Cheers!

We enjoyed the location. The size of the home met our needs while staying here. It was clean and comfortable. Since the community is growing, there were plenty of trucks and equipment to keep the kids excited to see them. The horse barn across the way was fun to walk around and visit. With the weather being nice, we enjoyed the playground a lot!

Manager Response: Thank you for your review! We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed Shifting Gears and that it met your needs. It sounds like you had a great time exploring the town and amenities. We hope to welcome you back to Seabrook another time!

We stayed here for 3 night with 3 kids, ages 10, 8, and 2.5. The hot tub was so great and we loved that they provided ample towels. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The bunk beds were so cute and very comfortable for the kids. We were very impressed with the grounds and it was so easy to check in and use all the facilities on site. The his was our first time staying in Seabrook. There are parks and trails all over to explore. We were there for mid winter break and there were planned activities for the kids everyday. We loved the indoor pool and went every day.

Shifting gears was a wonderful retreat for our spring break! We found everything so clean and comfortable—the beds were perfect for a great night's sleep. We all enjoyed the puzzles, books and games, and the original artwork by Washington artists in the house. Thank you for a great time away in Seabrook… We will be back!
