King Tide Glass Float Sale

Benefiting the Museum of the North Beach

Spend a spring Sunday surrounded by art, history, and coastal tradition at Seabrook’s annual Art Glass Float Sale. Hosted by the Museum of the North Beach in partnership with Avalon Glassworks, this special fundraising event brings handcrafted glass artistry to the historic Dorothy Anderson Cabin located in Seabrook’s Alderwood neighborhood.

Join us Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM to browse a colorful collection of hand-blown glass floats and sea life sculptures while supporting the preservation of North Beach history. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the artists behind the work and learn more about the craft of glassblowing.

The 2026 Special Edition Float: “King Tide”

This year’s commemorative Moclips edition float, King Tide, is inspired by the moody beauty of the Pacific Northwest coastline. Swirls of stormy blue and gray echo sky and sea, while sparkling dark blue aventurine glass catches the light like sun reflecting off the crests of waves.

Each float:
  • Measures approximately 4 inches in diameter
  • Is sealed with a blue stopper button
  • Features the commemorative “Moclips-By-The-Sea” stamp

The 2026 King Tide float is priced at $50, with 50% of proceeds benefiting the Museum of the North Beach.

This marks the 22nd special edition Moclips glass float produced by Avalon Glassworks. The 2026 “King Tide” float will also be available for purchase beginning March 7, 2026.

Meet the Artists

Jon and Shannon Felix, owners of Avalon Glassworks in West Seattle, will be on-site throughout the event. In addition to the special edition float, they will offer a vibrant collection of hand-blown glass floats and sea life sculptures inspired by the beach and ocean.

Meet the artists, learn about their craft, and bring home a meaningful piece of coastal art.

A Meaningful Coastal Tradition

Glass floats have long been tied to Pacific coastal lore, and this annual event brings that tradition into a modern artistic form. Each purchase not only supports local artisans but also helps preserve the stories and heritage of the North Beach community.

Join us for an inspiring afternoon of art, community connection, and coastal history in one of Seabrook’s most cherished historic settings.
