Nestled in Seabrook’s Farm District, Sunrise Pool and Fitness Center is redefining wellness on the Washington coast, adding to the town’s already robust amenities. This thoughtfully curated, state-of-the-art facility offers something unique: a place where fitness and leisure seemingly coexist in a setting inspired by nature and the modern farmhouse aesthetic that homeowners and guests find so endearing about the neighborhood.

Surrounded by expansive green spaces and thoughtful architecture, the facility blends seamlessly with its environment. It’s wellness, reimagined with intention and rooted in the natural beauty of Seabrook.
Thoughtful Architecture & Location
Balancing comfort and architectural design, the location of a rare outdoor pool on the Washington coast was carefully selected according to Stephen Poulakos, Vice President of Town Planning.

“We tried to situate Sunrise Pool in the most central location, which happens to be the Farm District,” explains Stephen. Additionally, “The lower elevation of the South Farm District naturally acts as a shield from the northwest winds,” he says, “which made it an ideal site for an outdoor pool.”
The architecture intentionally reflects the district's modern farmhouse aesthetic.
“With the location in the South Farm neighborhood, we thought it should look and feel a little bit like a farm building but a modern interpretation of it,” says Stephen.
The use of board and batten cladding with classic black windows was intentional, as it’s reflective of the neighborhood aesthetic, allowing the pool and fitness center to seamlessly complement Seabrook’s Farm District homes and other amenities.

A Family-Friendly, Year-Round Welcoming Lobby
Options for outdoor recreation in Seabrook remain a top priority as our community grows. That’s why it was so important to create the best family-friendly pool on the Washington coast right within the growing beach town.
The experience begins in the cozy, heated lobby, which was designed with families in mind, according to Stephen.
“We knew we needed a place for lounging…this idea of being able to see out, see the kids, and see the pool while staying in a warm, cozy environment,” says Stephen.
Therefore, the lobby was designed with ample windows to provide clear views of the pool, allowing parents the choice to relax indoors while still keeping an eye on their children.
Saltwater Pool - A Unique Seabrook Experience
A standout feature of this facility is the saltwater pool, kept at a consistent 84 degrees year-round. As more communities move away from traditional chlorinated pools, the choice for a saltwater pool was natural.

“As a coastal community, we wanted to bring the beach to the pool," says Stephen, “and the saltwater pool has allowed us to do just that.”
Sunrise Pool differs from Seabrook’s original pool in Crescent Park as it was designed for both recreation and fitness. Poulakos emphasizes the importance of creating a space for “both families and those who are more health-conscious and like to do lap swims.” With designated lap swimming hours each morning, there remains ample opportunity for families to splash around and leisurely swim during the day.
- 3 swimming lanes
- Morning adult swim: 7:00 - 9:00 AM
- Family swim times throughout the day
Pool Features
Whether you’re swimming for sport or just want to soak up the sun, Sunrise Pool truly offers something for everyone. And, thanks to the heated pool, outdoor winter swimming on the Washington coast just became an option.

Expansive Spa + Sauna - Wellness Meets Relaxation
Sunrise Pool is the second of two pools to date in Seabrook - the original being located in Crescent Park.
“One of the things we learned from our very first pool was that the spa is something that is really popular and enjoyed by a lot of folks. So, we decided at the Sunrise pool we would make it much bigger so it could be used by more people through the day and deep into the winter,” explains Stephen. “Similarly, we heard from a lot of homeowners a desire to have more sauna experiences, especially in the cooler months of the year.”
Inspired by the popular Crescent Park spa, the new facility includes:
- An expanded, spacious spa area
- A cedar barrel sauna, offering natural aroma therapy and a calming Pacific Northwest ambiance
