What You Need to Know About the Hood to Coast Relay

The Race

Join in on this 77-mile course to help support several excellent charities while bonding with other runners and staying in shape! Beginning at Lake Isabella on the Hood Canal, the relay will end right on the Pacific shores of Seabrook. As you approach Seabrook, you’ll witness gorgeous ocean views beckoning you to the finish line.

Runners are broken up into teams of four to six, with a total limit of 450 teams, who will work together to complete this 12-leg relay. For participants who want to compete at a slower pace, there will also be a 52-mile walking relay from Elma Elementary School to the Seabrook beach finish line. To help you prepare for the event, review the course map and get a sense of what kind of terrain you’ll be running or walking over.

The Finish Line Celebration

Though the run takes place on Saturday, the festivities will begin on Friday with a welcome party for the runners! Enjoy live music and local cuisine from food trucks as well as an on-site beer and wine garden. The beer and wine tents will reopen when the race has finished on Saturday so that runners can celebrate their accomplishment with a refreshing beverage. Food trucks and a live DJ will also greet the participants and their supporters for another day of music, food, and drink after this relay.
