a cozy green getaway at Seabrook’s Beach Camp

Looking for an eco-chic weekend get-away or extended vacation? The Evergreen is the only LEED certified vacation home in Washington State, having earned a LEED Platinum Rating under the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for Homes program - the highest possible honor in environmental responsibility for US residential construction today.

Thoughtfully designed and furnished, The Evergreen features luxury sustainable materials and products. Besides having a wonderful vacation, maybe you’ll even find a green strategy to implement once you get home!

The Evergreen’s living room features an overstuffed leather couch with organic cotton throw and pillows, perfect for curling up with a book or catching a movie on the 32” flat screen TV with integrated DVD player. In the corner the world’s most efficient gas fireplace warms the cabin while you enjoy the soft glow of the fire.

The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, a Paperstone countertop made from recycled paper, and a gas range. Everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal is provided, from appliances to dishware. And after you’ve prepared your culinary masterpiece (or grabbed take-out from the café), settle in at our antique Javanese table with chairs made from reclaimed teak.

In the bedroom, a heavenly queen bed awaits with a Simmons Natural Care latex foam mattress, feather bed mattress topper, and down blanket and pillows. The furnishings support independent artisans from the US and abroad, including the wall art and bedside lamps.

The bathroom features a dual-flush toilet and luxury tiling by Villeroy & Boch, a family-owned ceramics company operating since 1748. A high-efficiency combination washer/dryer is included for your convenience.

The Evergreen’s loft features two twin beds with down blankets and pillows and is a perfect spot for some quiet solitude or to spread out with one of The Evergreen’s board games or books.

Follow the reclaimed cedar boardwalk that runs along The Evergreen’s western side.

The Evergreen provides high-speed wireless Internet and phone service with unlimited national calling included for your convenience. Dogs up to 25 lbs are welcome at The Evergreen, with dog bowls and a dog bed made from recycled Levi Jeans provided to ensure that your four-legged friend has a wonderful time as well.

We’ve taken great care to ensure that you have a terrific vacation while keeping your environmental footprint small.     The location is great, but the overall experience did not justify the price. Check-in was delayed by nearly two hours, and communication regarding the delay was poor. Several amenities advertised on the website were not actually available at the property. While there are amenities such as a swimming pool, tennis courts, and pickleball courts, they are spread far apart, and the equipment for each activity is stored in different locations, making them inconvenient to access. Overall, the property felt very small, there wasn't much to do nearby, and considering the cost, it did not provide good value for the money.

    It was a great little cabin and in a peaceful area. We would stay there again and enjoyed the clean and relaxing hot tub! The only quirks we noticed were that the ceiling fan and backlight by hot tub didn’t work so walking back there was iffy (maybe a switch by that back light so as to turn off and enjoy the dark would be great!). Would be nice to have screens on all windows. Garage disposal needs looked at as it sounds horrible. Overall staying in Seabrook and the cabin was wonderful!! Definitely want to go back!

    The cabin was great. Perfect location to walk to the pools, beach, town and activities. Perfect size for a family of 4 for a few days. Has a hot tub behind the house which was the best. Kitchen was decently stocked. All around it was great and would definitely book again. We love seabrook!

    If you want a quiet and peaceful getaway, this is the place for it! We went from Monday to Friday in late September, and it was felt like we had the town to ourselves! The cabin was great and easily accessible, and we loved how walkable the place felt!

    We had a great time in Seabrook. The cottage was great except for the washer and dryer. The dryer didn’t dry my clothes at all. The hot tub needs more room around it so you don’t get leaves/pine needles from the trees in it. They advertise horseback riding but when I called they said they don’t have that in town. The restaurants are way overpriced and the food isn’t great. The town has fire pits but you can’t use them because of the burn ban. I noticed some places have gas fire pits which would be nice for the cottages. I would probably stay in a bigger house next time but if your on a budget and looking for a quick getaway this place is fine.

    Quaint newish cottage style cabin. Walking distance to everything. Loved that we were able to bring our two small dogs. Although we had a hot tub, bummed we didn’t get to use it. The evening we were going to hop in, there was a thunderstorm. Will definitely return for a future visit!

    Overall, very positive experience. Hot tub is a little on smaller side. There is no grill, which is not a misrepresentation in any way, but something I didn’t even think to look for in a place like this and was a disappointment so just be aware. That was our fault and may have to do with the admirable LEED certification, not sure. The interior could use an once over, all the games were completely useless. Missing Pete missing pieces the sound system.

    We had a pleasant time at this cabin. It was quiet and clean! The mattresses in the loft were a bit uncomfortable (for grown adults) and some basic items were missing from the kitchen (coffee filters, foil, etc) but it was a lovely stay. We were there to relax and celebrate a graduation and it was perfect!

    Extremely expensive. Overall, it was certainly not worth the extremely high price they charged for a one-night stay. We never received instructions about check-in and to get in. We had to call the host (which is a company, not an individual) and get the PIN code to open the door. The instructions for the Wi-Fi connectivity were wrong. The stated network name didn't show up. We had to call again, and they told us the correct Wi-Fi network name and password over the phone. This was styled as a cabin, but the floors were freakishly squeaky. The fireplace looked beautiful. But the instructions to turn it on-demand did not work. We fiddled with it for quite some time and never worked. The stern warnings and instructions in the bathroom about towels and other things make you feel like they think you're trying to steal or damage their things. Weird. The location is wonderful with lots of things to do and the beach in walking distance.
