Sunshine rules throughout the house; starting with its full Southern Exposure, and a 20 foot high, elevated setting overlooking Elk Creek Glen, that allows streaming sun into the Covered Front Porch and Master Bedroom. An open side porch, allows for sun bathing sheltered from the wind, and wraps around into a small yard entirely fenced in for toddlers to roam. It rains in Washington? ..… No worries; the inside sun-room or covered front porch are the perfect places to hang-out, read and play games until the shower passes. Then, when the sun finally rests for the day, you’re just steps out the back door from the Mill District Park and its wood fire-pit …easy to grab your favorite drink and S‘mores from the kitchen as you’re warmed by the night fire. A little too cool for the park?... Snuggle up inside near the gas fireplace, with TV too and enjoy the open living room area. Be sure to leave the windows open at night and listen to the relaxing ocean sounds coming up Elk Creek Glen until the morning sunshine comes again.

Bluebird Cottage is just a 5 minute walk from the beach via the celebrated Gnome Trail (make sure to look for them), 2 minutes to the indoor heated pool and jacuzzi, and 1 minute from the kid’s treehouse in the famous Mill District giant cedar stump.

Main Floor: Unique, open architecture combines Sunroom, Dining Room and Living Room with fireplace, for a spacious area to spread out, have fun and relax. Granite counter tops, gas range and Cherry Wood floors throughout provide a modern and stylish touch for your stay.

Second Floor: 2 bedrooms both on the 2nd floor with a bathroom including a full tub. Primary bedroom with a Queen bed has a sitting chair with beautiful views of the Elk Creek Glen. 2nd bedroom has two twin beds and overlooks the wooded Mill Creek Park. Cherry wood floors in the hall and both bedrooms, and tile in the bathroom.
