Founders’ Day

Every summer on Founders’ Day we celebrate Seabrook’s birthday, this year marking the 14th year on the Washington coast. This year, Founders’ Day is Saturday, July 21.

Come celebrate with us via many outdoor adventures all weekend long.

Sign-up for an amusing Bigfoot Poker Ride with Buck of Buck’s Bikes (7:30 a.m.) (Buck’s Northwest is now CLOSED)

Puruse and shop local vendors at our vibrant Saturday market where you can get local food, arts, crafts and other goods you can only find on the Washington coast (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

During the afternoon, youngsters will be treated to a special sandcastle-building workshop hosted by professional sandcarver Eric Hawley. With Eric’s help, your kids will learn how to work with sand and how to build awesome sandcastles. Eric will be centered around several tables with sand, bucks, shovels, kid-friendly carving tools, etc. so they can follow Eric’s lead, mimicing his larger version. This is what summer is all about (1 p.m. to 3 p.m.)

After your kids build amazing sandcastles, head down to the beach and take-in the WestCoast Waveriders “Big Air” Jet Ski Demonstration where these athletes will jump ocean waves and perform big air tricks including flips and jumps (beginning at 4 p.m.)

Next, make your way to Town Green Park in the SOMA District where your kids can meet the Waverider athletes in a meet-and-greet and enjoy amazing food from local food trucks (6 p.m.)

Founders’ Day is always one of the most active weekends in Seabrook each year. If you’re interested in brining your family out to Seabrook for Founders’ Day, begin your home search here or if you have any questions you can call us at 360-268-8006.

Gnome & Fairy Festival

Put on your pointed hats and fairy wings and head out to the coast for a day of enchantment with the Seabrook Gnome & Fairy Festival on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This magical day is all about the “wee folk” and getting up close with the natural world and encouraging active, outdoor play.

Children can forage in our enchanted forest for fairies, help build a fairy village using all natural materials, show off costumes in our gnome & fairy fashion show and have fun dancing to live music with the Not-Its.

There will be other enchanting activities such as face painting, games, crafts, live animal encounters and concessions.

Be sure to bring the whole family to stroll Gnome Trial and catch a glimpse of the fairies and gnomes wandering Seabrook’s enchanted forest.

Dress in costume and flaunt your wings in our fashion show; mine for magic gems; frolic in the enchanted forest for a fairy surprise; build a gnome village; enjoy games and crafts inspired by the natural world.
