The Elk Creek neighborhood is not only special due to its proximity to the historical creek, it is also home to The Old Spruce Heritage Tree. Take a walk to the southern end of Elk Creek to take in this towering tree, carefully left untouched as Seabrook grows.
Loggers used to use the the towering Sitka spruce (Picea Sitchensis) tree that is 130 feet tall as landmark for the area. The sizable spruce has a trunk diameter of 80 inches and is more than 200 years old.
