Yoga is a great way to get in tune with your body while increasing flexibility and reducing stress. If you are new to yoga, here are a few tips to get you started.
Get a good mat. Mats are easy to pack and wipe down, making it the perfect on-the-go exercise tool.
Get comfy. Find an outfit or two that are made of breathable material and that you feel comfortable moving around in, whether it is yoga pants or sweatpants.
Start simple. If you're doing yoga outside of a beginner class, research simple poses and modify them to your comfort level.
Practice. Set personal yoga goals and stick to them. Pose for a few minutes each day or several times a week to keep up your progress.
Drink water. Staying well hydrated is an important part of any exercise, make sure to drink water before and after doing yoga.
