For a second week in a row, the interior of the 2010 Coastal Living Magazine Ultimate Beach House is making steady progress!

Insulation, provided by our sponsor Johns Manville, is all but done and should be completed tomorrow. You can see how the interior of the house looks with insulation in the picture updates below.

We also have pictures of the air jet tub and fireplace (by Fireplace Extrordinair). The wooden surround on the fireplace was put in place this week and we were finally able to snap some pictures of the Mirabella air jet tub that is quietly waiting for everything else around it to be finished.

The exterior of the house is seeing some significant improvements as well. The trellis, in-between the guest house and garage, is up and awaiting light fixtures for completion. It really is a great aesthetic touch to the back of the house. Again, pictures of it are right below.

The plan for next week is to begin sheet rocking and continue with the siding of the house. In a couple weeks we are expecting the hardwood floors provided by Armstrong and the tiles in the bathrooms.

Wow, is it really March already? This year is going by really fast, and the 2010 Coastal Living Magazine Idea House is coming together just as quickly!

The interior structure of the Ultimate Beach House was mostly worked on this last week and our construction workers made a good start on the insulation of the house. In the meantime, the air jet tub was installed and is in place, temporarily protected from surrounding construction.

The air jet tub is provided by Ferguson and is of the Mirabelle Edenton edition with an air bath option.

On the exterior, siding of the idea house has also begun, with a lot more progress expected in the next couple weeks.

Finally, a fireplace planned for the South wall of the beach home should be put in place by the end of next week, although that will depend on the progress of the rest of the interior.

Here are the picture updates from this week. We didn’t get a chance to uncover the jet tub and snap some photos of it, but as soon as we have the clear from our Project Manager, we will be uploading pictures of that and other small additions to the 2010 Coastal Living Ultimate Beach House.
