February has blessed us with near-perfect conditions for construction work on the Coastal Living Ultimate Beach House. As promised, the roof is now complete as well is all electrical work inside the house!
Putting in the insulation should also begin this Monday, since the framing and electrical installation is completed. During the electrical wiring, an 18 KW backup generator system was installed as well as full wiring support for surround sound throughout the Idea House.
An air jet tub is coming in this week from Ferguson – our sponsor donating all the sinks and tubs in the Ultimate Beach House. As soon as it arrives, it will be put in place and pictures of it will be up immediately.
You can view this week’s pictures right below. The 2010 Coastal Living Ultimate Beach House looks glorious in the surprisingly gorgeous winter weather!
The 2010 Coastal Living Ultimate Beach House is moving along faster than a speeding bullet! After completing the framing of the first & second floor in late December, and the garage & guest house in early January, the breezeway roof connecting the main house & guest house has now been finished. You can find framing pictures of the breezeway right below.
The windows for the idea house, supplied by Andersen Windows, have also been delivered to the building site and are being installed. The windows are of the highest quality and are in line with the products used at Seabrook for all beach cottages. “They should be in place by the end of next week” – confirmed Terry Howe, Seabrook’s Construction Project Manager that oversees the on-site construction of this year’s Coastal Living Idea House.
As the workers focused on the back of the house, we managed to sneak inside and snap some pictures of the stunning oceanfront view from the front porch of the Ultimate Beach House. Be sure to browse the absolutely breathtaking views pictured at the end of this post.
Next on the list is the roofing of the idea house, so stay tuned for more updates and pictures next week!
