Sheet Rock Up, Ready For Paint
All the different rooms of the Coastal Living Magazine Ultimate Beach House are finally taking shape!
Over the last week, sheet rock went up in the basement and the second floor, and as soon as it is dry all the walls will be painted. According to our Idea House construction manager Terry Howe, wall-painting is likely to start Thursday of next week. The first floor will have wood walls only, which should really give the idea house a unique, beachy feel.
Hardwood floors, something we are very excited about, are supposed to be installed in the Ultimate Beach House toward the end of next week!
Walking around the Idea Home is already becoming a great experience. Over 80 can lights will be installed in the ceilings – the most a house has had at Seabrook! Check out the pictures below where you can see this feature and many more.
The outside fireplace is almost complete on the outside of the house, and the breezeway should see soffits added within the next couple weeks.
Enjoy this week’s picture updates as the Coastal Living Magazine Ultimate Beach House is coming together right in front of our eyes.

Hi, Can someone please tell me if the idea house is using, “sail cloth” Hardy planks?
Also, are those the Anderson 400 series windows?
We are remodeling our house and have been looking at similar products. I’m very interested to
see how this house turns out.
Thanks,
Kathy

Hi Kathy,
The Ultimate Beach House is using smooth Artisan series Hardy planks, as well as Anderson A Series windows. The house is coming along great, hope you like the picture updates.
Let us know if you have any more questions we can answer. It must be exciting to remodel your house!
