1st annual Thanksgiving vacation at Seabrook! Saw it on Evening Magazine in the Spring and knew we had to gather here. Then we had to decide which house! Ocean Song was the perfect choice for our group of 6 adults and 2 teenagers. Thank you for providing everything we needed. It is perfect in every way. Our highlight was finding the gnome village on the trail to the beach. What a delight! PS. Great weather too!

I loved this little house! It was so great! They have a lot of little knickknacks and stuff to look at. They’ve got everything! Movies, dishes, and even videogames! This is so great! I would live here! I love the little store and it’s very close to the beach! I LOVE OCEAN SONG. –Someone

Back to Ocean Song again, our third summer get away here…it’s become a family tradition. My sister and her children from Olympia, my mother and her husband from Seattle and my family from Renton descend upon Seabrook with anticipation. This year we had three days of sunshine, interrupted by one perfect ocean stormy day. The view from Ocean Song’s front porch is a favorite. Studying for graduate school is even enjoyable there! The children managed to unplug for a while, enjoy the beach and our company. It is always hard to leave, but we look forward to coming back again and continuing to build upon our memories of Ocean Song, Seabrook and the beach. We had a wonderful time at Ocean Song. House was wonderful to stay in and the kids loved all of the toys and games. We only had one major accident involving an eye and the coffee table! We went to the beach everyday and found many treasures. We ate great food and consumed many drinks. We decorated our moms birthday cake, made a gnome home in the forest, painted pottery, rode bikes, went swimming in the indoor pool, and hot tubing in Ocean Song’s hot tub. I’m 8 ½ years old and I thought it was awesome! Me and my little brother loved ringing the bell upstairs in bedroom number two to wake my nana up. I slept in bedroom number four. The beds were super comfortable. I loved watching the Olympics downstairs and riding my bike around. It was fun to go to the park with my brother and cousin. I had fun helping my one-year-old cousin walk and go to the beach. Our family has stayed at two other houses at Seabrook. I think that Ocean Song is my favorite house of all of them. First extended stay on the Washington coast and we loved it. The home was a perfect fit for our family of seven adults, two kids and dogs. The décor made it feel very homey. The basket for snacks and etc. were a great way to keep stuff off the counters. This is the first home we have rented with such a wonderful view of the ocean. We have always stayed on the Oregon coast, but plan to return here to Ocean Song many times. We loved the space for the kids plus the books, toys, and games. Thank you for the use of your lovely home. We had our son and girlfriend from IL, our daughter and husband from North Bend, WA here with us. We lucked out and had beautiful weather. As mother noted above, there was quite a crowd of us here at Seabrook. The first time in a number of years that the entire family had been together in one place. Your lovely home, one of two we rented here, provided a wonderful refuge for those of us that, while loving the family dearly, don’t embrace the chaos of the larger group which included five children under the age of two. We had a wonderful time here at Seabrook and Ocean Song. Your beautiful comfortable home was the perfect retreat for us.

We celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary in your lovely home –just the two of us- and our grateful golden retriever. Ocean Song is a place we will strive to bring our children and grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews for a family reunion. Loved our long walks on the beach, wading through Joe Creek to get to Pacific Beach and back. I was longing for a kite and found them in the garage as we were packing the car to go home! So now we know for our next trip to Ocean Song. Seabrook is a lovely community and your home stands out as one of the most charming and decorative. Ocean Song is a healing place, physically and spiritually!

We came to celebrate our parent’s 50th wedding anniversary and had a fantastic time. We were amazed at the beautiful house and perfect space. Peace, Love, Joy, family memories, and rest! My 60th Birthday. The walks, bike riding, pool, hot tub, sit down family style meals at your great farm table -Perfect, beautiful home. We also wanted to thank you for providing play & Packs and high chairs for our use as well as the upstairs play area and study area. My nephews (ages 13 and 3) enjoyed the play station and toy areas and my children (ages 16 and 7 mos.) enjoyed the ipod docking station + area to do her homework in peace. We loved everything but missed our morning waffles! Next time we will bring a waffle iron to leave and add to your already wonderful kitchen collection! We were able to light candles every day and watch the Notebook movie over and over. You have a great book collection. We enjoyed the fireplace and the extra pillows and having our family dog with us too!

Thank you for making your beautiful home available to us. We gathered from NJ, CO and WA to share some time together at beautiful Seabrook. Your Ocean Song home is so comfortable and full of all the conveniences and welcoming touches. We enjoyed the beach, the beautiful views (from your porch), the new indoor pool, and your hot tub. Our 1-½ year old granddaughter especially enjoyed the toy cubby upstairs in Ocean Song’s media room. We made some wonderful memories here, took lots of photos and would love to return to your home again one day.

What a perfect Spring Break getaway for my family! One day of rain filled with movies, swimming in the indoor pool and board games. The rest of our time here was sunshine, trips to the beach, scooter, bike rides and soaking in Ocean Song’s fabulous hot tub. We loved your beautiful home with its fantastic layout and everything a person could wish for. Corn on the cob holders? Check. Banana split boats? Check. I could go on and on. We can’t wait to come back.

Taking your beach cruiser bikes on a tour of Seabrook is not something we’ll soon forget! Or the glorious gift of pedaling to the park and happening upon a warm, toasty fire to enjoy before heading on our way. We came for a Winter Beach getaway and could not have asked for more in your warm beautiful and thoughtfully furnished home. You’ve thought of everything right down to clothespins for the bag of coffee and a bin of votive candles for a lovely evening mood. With a great eye for detail and hospitality the owners of Ocean Song know not only know what you need but also what you want at the beach.

MLK Weekend at the ocean!!! This is our 6th year at the ocean for family fun times, games, walking the beach, good food and what we call “No Rules Weekend”. This is also our second stay at Ocean Song. Thanks for have a truly “accessible home” as Ma is 90+ and stairs are a real challenge for her. This was our first time visiting Seabrook. We’re long time lovers of this area. We’ve spent many weekends with kids and dogs in Copalis, Pacific Beach and Moclips. Now our kids are adults and finding the time for us all to gather is tough. Thank you for opening your lovely home to us. Someone is a decorator! Took pictures of interior designs for ideas at home. Your extra touches ARE noticed. We always thought of Seabrook as having a “Stepford Wife” neighborhood feel when we’d drive by. I’m glad we decided to give it a try. There are really a lot of wonderful ideas blossoming here. Keep up the good work. One of the best “dog houses” we’ve stayed at! TWO PAWS UP!

Seabrook. The name conjures up sweet memories of a growing list of vacation experiences with our daughter and granddaughters, this being our third stay in as many homes here. What better way for the generations to draw closer than to share the warm, comforting environment provided by Ocean Song, the quaint community, the wild expanse of coastline and the forest. We enjoyed all the activities already described in previous posts, satisfied our sweet tooth urge at local ice-cream parlors an confectionaries and found souvenirs to suit everyone’s tastes. My husband rode your bikes with the girls, the hot tub was a hit, a couple of graceful deer were spotted, the ocean breezes insured great kite flying and twirling pinwheels. All in all, a wonderful time!

Ocean Song is on of my favorite houses at Seabrook. I love the shell cabinet in the house especially the Costa Rica shells from 2003. Love it! We love the luggage tag labels for chips and crackers on the baskets too! We went sledding down the big hill in front of the neighborhood and went to the Chocolate festival. Thanks for letting us stay here.

Couldn’t have been timed more perfectly as we needed this down time to restore our energy reserves and Ocean Song was the perfect place to do so. Many years ago in the 1950’s and 1960’s as a child I came to stay in cabins down SR. 109 at Ocean City, WA. Ocean cabins have certainly changed! Now we have Seabrook. Oh, what a change! This is the nicest place on the West Coast. Thank you for making me love Washington again. I live in Texas and I’m wondering, “What was I thinking?” I’m homesick for Washington thanks to Ocean Song and Seabrook!

This was an awesome trip to the beach! We rode bikes on the beach and found seashells and plenty of sand dollars. We ate at the Cafe across the street and it was so yummy! We also had an awesome time staying up until 12:00 AM playing Loaded Questions. It was soooo fun! I’m excited we may come again to Ocean Song. Thank you for providing this beautiful house for us!

What a warm and inviting Washington beach house! Three generations of our mid-west family and folks from Olympia were here for a family reunion. This is really a special place! We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets, played frisbee, jumped in the water, built sandcastles, and enjoyed the fabulous weather. Seabrook is an excellent family friendly atmosphere. The bikes are such a great way to get around and so glad the kids were busy all day & night. The neighborhood energy is very relaxed and laid back. The guys went tuna fishing in Westport and so we cooked plenty of fresh fish on your BBQ grill. Some of the crew drove to Forks, WA (Twilight indeed!) as well as Ruby Beach to view the beautiful and abundant ocean life. Hikes in the woods produced some wonderfully delicious chanterelle mushrooms. Thank you so much for all the special extra touches in your beach cottage; kids toys, cooking spices and seasonings and even a salad spinner! BTW, your shell collection represents! We have visited many of the beaches you name especially the ones in Florida and Costa Rica. We hope to visit again, thanks for having a special place for our family vacation.

Our family gathering has been joyful! We appreciate your beach cottage so much. All of the toys were a delight for the 5 grandchildren, from the toddlers to the teenagers. The adults were happy with comfortable beds, fine kitchen equipment and relaxing spaces. We plan on returning.

Thank you so much, this is an amazing house! I am here on a mother daughter trip with 5 girls and 5 moms and we had a great time! Thank you for a great beach house and an all together great experience! I loved the hot tub and boogie boarding in the ocean was amazing! I definitely want to come back and enjoy it again next year. My family (11 of us) thoroughly enjoyed your home. The young ones filled the 2nd floor with their 90 year old grandpa! Some family was in the carriage house and the rest of us filled the 1st floor even using your great pull-out couch. No vampire or werewolf sightings on the trails to the beach but we really enjoyed the bicycles and ice cream from the nearby store. Cocktail hour on your front porch is how life in a small town should be lived!

Perfect House
For hundreds of years sailors spoke of the Ocean’s Song.
Did the melody come from a mermaid? The wave on the Shore?
But the lure to the sea was as sure as the fog.
One day a new community grew on the cliff by the sea.
With old fashioned ideas, respecting history
A calm family environment where the kids run free.
Now three generations share this lovely space.
Two sons, their wives with daughters & sons each,
The carriage house. Granny’s escape place.
Thank you Menzel family for sharing your dream.
Every corner holds a treasure I’m sure you hold dear,
making our stay on the cliff beyond supreme.

The magic of the place and the energy of the people that came this weekend created that unique mix, that soul to soul connection that really define ‘living’ in the present.

Wow? Where to start? This house is absolutely incredible. I love all the tiny details around the house and obviously well-loved books and board games. There was plenty of room for my mom in her wheelchair, dad, little sister, and two puppies to fit with room to spare!
P.S. Thanks for letting us bring our dogs!!
This whole town you’re building here is so amazing and magical. I can’t wait to hopefully come back during the summer with friends and family.
The neighborhood is perfect for going on a jog or bike ride. We even wheeled my mom out to the park! The beach is INCREDIBLE! I loved walking along the beach and watching the beautiful huge waves and looking for cool shells and rocks. We arrived here at sunset, so my little sis and I ran down to the beach to snap some breathtaking pictures. My dad took us out skim boarding, it was freezing! After that, we ran up and hopped into the hot tub. Overall this place is amazing and I never want to leave. I’m going to try to come back soon! Thank you for creating such a great place!

Life is a funny change of events that make your life what it is – or is it that your life is what you make it? We ended up in your home by chance not by choice and it was a wonderful 3 days – it would have been so much different had we stayed where we started our journey – all though together none the less.
We will be back – with more family in toe-

We had a great 3 days in your warm and cozy home! High winds, snow and a lot of rain made for great storm watching and cozy fires. A beautiful hike in the Quinault Rainforest, rainy windy walks on the beach spent with family were wonderful. An Easter Egg hunt and a power outage led to lots of excitement. Your home is well appointed with everything we needed and bed comfy. Thanks for sharing.

Well today is Sunday, Valentine’s Day!! We are on a winter youth retreat with our church! It’s absolutely beautiful here! (Even though until today, it had been raining all weekend!) Yesterday, we went to Ocean Shores! We went to all the little fish shops! Then we went to the beach and a couple of us went into the waves and got totally soaked! Then went back here and hopped in the hot tub! Today we went to the beach and had a sand castle competition! Boys vs. Girls! Girls kicked Guys butts! We won candy! After free time, we went on bike rides, watched movies and then went down to the beach to watch the sunset! It was gorgeous! We played soccer and Frisbee games! It was a lot of fun! We’re now sitting playing cards (Uno) about to have bible study. Well we have had a lot of fun here! It’s nice to get away from city life and just relax and look around this beautiful creation! Thank you so much

Girls’ weekend at Ocean Song. Had a great time getting to know each other and taking a break from kids and husbands and the demands of city life. Walks on the beach – gorgeous – lovely massages and watching The Golden Globes. Can’t wait to return!

We were a group of seven people who had a wonderful 2-night weekend at this beautiful ocean scene in a marvelous house, well-provided for. On Saturday, we had a spectacular walk on the sandy beach as the rain cleared off and the sun peeked out. Psalm 95 says, “the sea is His for He make it, and His herds have molded the dry land.” Just pacific! The fireplace works well, and we had many games of “Apples to Apples” and watched movies and playoff football games. The Café cooked a great breakfast for us too. Two of us are from Virginia and glad to escape the cold of winter there; the other five are from the Sea-Tac area, and several have been here before. Thank you from the Tarpley Family and the Tome and Phelps Families too.

Once again, we had so much fun and family here! We had to rent three houses to accommodate! The clam dig last night was absolutely amazing. Everyone got a limit, even the little one It is time to go back home and we never like it when this day comes. Your house is great. The beds are super (love ‘em). Best of luck in the New Year.

We stayed here to welcome the New Year in style. Four college-aged sons, two partners and us parents. It was everything we could have wished for! The house is beautiful and roomy. It is well-stocked with everything needed to cook for such a large group, eat comfortably at the large family table and keep ourselves entertained when the weather was bad. I don’t think I have ever seen so many good books outside a library – too bad I was only here three days! We enjoyed the hot tub. We used the grill. We played lots of board games. We took a long beach walk and spent a few hours at extreme clamming – it was cold, dark and wet and we ended up with one clam to show for it Today, we pack up and go on our ways to our separate lives, taking with us amazing memories of our Ocean Song Holiday.

We celebrated our daughter’s 16th birthday! We had a great time. Your home is beautiful! Long walks on the beach, fire pit and hot tub. Everything was amazing.

On the 25th, we came. On the 26th, we hung out and had Thanksgiving. On the 28th, we went to the ocean shore. On the 29th, we went and packed our bags and went home.

The Nichols and Nichols and Smith and Becwich families stayed here and had a very nice time. We went fishing and clamming. We caught two salmon and seven limits of clams. What fun! We are so lucky to have the Pacific Northwest and all it offers us. Thanks again.
