Starting with last week’s Beach Camp Cottage neighborhood preview, the Seabrook Blog will feature weekly updates on the fast-moving progress around Seabrook. Today, we take a quick glance at the Compass Park cottages, located South of the North Alder Cottage Court.

The four beach houses comprising this sunny Compass Park corner are an ideal mix of size, design, and location. Each Compass Park cottage is about 1,500 sq.ft. with an attached garage (a new facet of Seabrook) and natural cedar shingles. A second story walkout balcony faces South, making the front of the house one of the warmest and most desirable places to soak up the sun.

Inside, the houses welcome you through a porch to an open floor plan – this truly captures the feeling of being at the beach. Three bedrooms on the top floor circle a media/family room.

Three of the four houses have already been sold and two are currently under construction. The first homeowners are expecting to move in during the middle of March and are very excited for their beach house to be completed. And you know what? So are we!

The beautiful Washington Coast is an inspiration to many in the Pacific Northwest. While some are inspired to capture nature’s beauty through the camera lens, others try and recreate it on a blank canvas. Luis Mestas, the founder of Lighthouse Ballet Academy here in North Beach, has recently sparked a unique interest in ballet among the locals at Seabrook and Pacific Beach. So many kids enjoyed the ballet lessons that he is now holding a weekly ballet class at Pacific Beach Elementary!

Luis Mestas’ bio includes a masters degrees in education and teaching experience in the Los Angeles school system. He has studied in Russia, Latvia, and Estonia, and has performed with the Pasadena Dance Theater, the Asian American, Ballet company, and Marat Daukayev School of Ballet in LA. He is also a good friend of Arthur Egeli, a nationally recognized artist that moved to Seabrook recently.

Arthur is, in fact, working on an art piece of his own at the moment. He is in the process of completing his second mural – both will be hanging beside the entrance to Lil’s Pantry, Seabrook’s grocery store. Arthur’s work will be welcoming visitors to Seabrook since the Lil’s Pantry market is located at the beginning of Seabrook’ entrance, just across the street from the oceanfront Northwest Glen neighborhood.

Last weekend, Seabrook was overtaken by a gloomy, spooky, and incredibly fun Halloween fever! After the trick-or-treating livened up the town, it was time for the grown-ups to dress and impress with their creative costumes! The 80’s Prom Theme turned out to be an instant hit, and we have all the pictures right here on the Seabrook Blog!

The party started at the Sales office where everyone got together for the first impressions. Hairs were flowing, neon colors were shining, and the 80’s theme seemed to have easily hit the hearts of many. (more…)

There is nothing like a good old-fashioned way of showing you how fun 4th of July weekend can be at Seabrook. That’s why, we have just uploaded new pictures from this year’s celebration which included a fabulous Cake Walk, face painting, porch decorations, and our 4th Annual Porch Illumination Ceremony.
