Seabrook Cottage Rental Survey Contest Winner!

October 22, 2010 By: Seabrook Category: Coastal Living Idea House, Contests, Seabrook Cottage Rentals

Seabrook Cottage RentalsThousands of people from the Pacific Northwest (and beyond) visit Seabrook each year in pursuit of a good time at the beach. And why wouldn’t they? Seabrook is the only place on the Washington coast that offers high-quality lodging, free bikes for cruising around town, many different activities and amenities, and most importantly, access to the long sandy beaches of the central Washington coast!

Seabrook Cottage Rentals strives to make housing accommodations as comfortable and relaxing as possible for those who stay at Seabrook. To see what our guests think of our services, we ask each of them to complete a Cottage Rental Survey after their stay.

By getting direct feedback from our guests on a number of questions, we are able to pinpoint our strengths and identify areas that need further improvement.

This year, over 90% of Seabrook’s vacation rental visitors were extremely satisfied with their stay at Seabrook! Whoo-hoo!

We’d like to thank everyone that provided feedback about their time spent at our beach town. As a reward, we offered one FREE WEEKEND for the luckiest responder to our survey of the last 6 months. So without further ado, we present to you the winner!

Congratulations to Amanda Jones from North Seattle for winning the Cottage Rental Survey Contest!

Please email us at rewards@seabrookwa.com to learn how to claim your free weekend getaway. In addition, you will receive 4 tickets to the Ultimate Beach House, which is open for tours for only one more week!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone that comes and stays at Seabrook, especially those that participate in providing feedback to us. If you have stayed at one of our cozy cottages but have not had a chance to fill out the survey, contact us and we will send you the link to the survey online.

See you all at the beach!

Announcing Front Street Cafe’s Kiteloop Pale Ale

August 09, 2010 By: Seabrook Category: Contests, Front Street Café

In addition to the Ultimate Beach House contest that ended last week, another chance for our readers to win exciting prizes all throughout July was the Name Our Beer contest. The name of Seabrook’s Front Street Cafe’s new flagship beer was up for grabs and we decided to let you help us pick the perfect name for this delicious Pale Ale at the Cafe!

Over 200 entries were submitted and my goodness did we get some creative name suggestions. We narrowed down the top 10 and had the whole Seabrook Team vote on their favorite one. In the end, we picked a unique and exciting beer name!

Seabrook and Front Street Cafe are proud to announce the winner of the “Name Our Beer” contest – Matt Wardian of Normandy Park, WA and his idea for our beer name – “Kiteloop Pale Ale”!

Kiteloop, a term heard in the arena of kiteboarders, is when a rider loops the kite while catching some serious air. Matt, a passionate kiteboarder who spends much of his time in the waves off Seabrook’s beaches, defines kiteloop as: “A high flying, adrenaline filled, mega powered slingshot through space at the end of tightly spun kite lines. Easing back down to Earth (ocean) with a smooth satisfying splash only leaves you thirsting for more!”

Matt Wardian Kiteboarding Compilation

Matt Wardian submitted Kiteloop Pale Ale because it supports Seabrook’s wish to attract kiteboarders to its hidden coast beaches practically made for the sport! Matt (aka Mamba), currently an Art Director at Boeing, can be described as a “boardhead” having grown up on a skateboard and graduating to a surfboard during his Latin American tour as a teen. He soon added a sail to become a windsurfer and learned to snowboard to ride out the winter. Finally he discovered big kites and decided to become a surf pilot after surviving a few “kitemares”. At 54, he’s going coastal and is ready for some local flavor. As a recent transplant to Pacific Beach, he discovered an inspirational local brew at Seabrook that is an Ale of a beer. Like a great Kiteloop, Matt thinks that this beer is best when inverted and as long as he lands on his feet, he’s always ready for another!

For his winning submission, Matt will be awarded a $50 Front Street Café gift card and a Kiteloop Pale Ale t-shirt which he has volunteered to design.

A big thanks goes to everyone that submitted different ideas for our flagship Seabrook beer! We hope you like our name choice and that you will stop by the Cafe to try it soon.

If you are a big kiteboarder yourself, don’t hesitate to mention that at the Seabrook Cottage Rentals office when you check in – you may be surprised with the kind of welcome you get. :)

We’ve Got The Ultimate Winner!

July 29, 2010 By: Seabrook Category: Contests

Ultimate Beach HouseBefore the Coastal Living Magazine Ultimate Beach House opened on July 16, we asked our readers to share with us the “ultimate beach home” of their dreams!

We received plenty of original and inspiring entries that in many ways captured the facets of a timeless beach sanctuary similar to the Coastal Living Magazine Idea House and all the other homes around Seabrook. We even had our sales team drop by and provide an inspiration with their creative ideas!

While each and every beach home entry was unique and worthy of the grand prize, we had to pick one lucky winner to take home all the marbles!

So, without further ado, the Seabrook Blog is proud to announce the winner of the 2010 “Describe Your Ultimate Beach House” contest — Leisa!! Sincere congratulations from everyone at Seabrook, we hope you will enjoy your visit to the beach and your tour through the Ultimate Beach House.

Here is Leisa’s winning entry:

“My Ideal Beach House would be some where that the surf could be heard and the waves could be seen. It would have easy access to the beach, but be walking distance to town. It would have lots of windows, so there were plenty of opportunity to use natural lighting.

The main floor would include a flowing open area that contain living, eating, and kitchen areas that would be perfect for entertaining, but take advantage of the view of the shore too. There would also be a guest bedroom and mud/utility room and a 1/2 bath. The second floor would have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a large sitting room with a huge picture window to watch the surf, somewhere that could be used for reading or crafts, with big comfy chairs. The 3rd floor would have a media room that would also have plenty of windows, and sleeper sofas for times when the guest room just isn’t enough. There would also be a 3/4 bathroom. The interior of the house would feature a peaceful beachy decorating scheme to compliment the views from the window.

Outside of the house there would a wrap-around porch accessed from french doors off of the living room. There would be lots of Adirondack chairs, a hammock, and a stone fireplace so that the outdoors could still be enjoyed in our cooler NW weather. There would also be a covered outdoor BBQ. A hot tub and outdoor shower, and covered walkway from the garage to the house would complete the amenities. The yard would be low maintenance with native vegetation.

Sounds a lot like a house that could easy be found right there at Seabrook, doesn’t It?”

It sure does Leisa! Just a reminder, here is the prize for the contest Leisa just won:

  • 2 Seabrook Glass Floats
  • 4 Tickets to the Ultimate Beach House at Seabrook
  • Exclusive Tour of the Idea House!

Leisa, please contact us at rewards@seabrookwa.com to claim your prize!

To everyone else – thank you very much for participating and for sharing with us your dream beach house ideas! We will have many more fun contests coming up at the Seabrook Blog in the future! To make sure you get all the details first, subscribe to the blog and get every post right in your email inbox!

Front Street Cafe Beer Name Contest

June 23, 2010 By: Seabrook Category: Contests, Front Street Café

We invite you to submit your name idea for our flagship beer at Seabrook’s
Front Street Cafe.

The beer is a mild, pleasant drinking ale with a touch of residual sweetness. Caramel and chocolate specialty malts are combined with premium northwest 2-row malted barley to create a light amber colored wort. Just enough hops for a delicate bitterness, subdued hop flavor and a nice aroma. Fermentation with yeast creates a nice English style ale which every beer drinker loves.

Please enter your information in the fields below and submit your name suggestion. Entries will be accepted until July 4 and the winning name will be announced by mid July.

The winner will receive a t-shirt with the beer logo and name, and a $50 gift certificate to the Front Street Cafe!

Thank you for participating, let’s pick a super-duper beer name!
